The appearance of Lin accelerated the divorce between Xu Zhimo and Zhang Youyi. In Xu Zhimo's divorce notice published by 1922, there is a sentence: "I will look for my only soul mate in the vast sea of people. I am lucky to get it; No, my life. " The "only soul mate" in this passage refers to Lin.
Everyone will meet an elusive person, but who he will fall in love with is basically because of his personality. He will fall in love with who he is.
Xu Zhimo is a sentimental, impulsive, free-loving and romantic poet. Such a person will certainly not be satisfied with the marriage arranged by his parents. Even if the other party is perfect and forced on him, he will not accept it. This is why Xu Zhimo and Zhang Youyi divorced. What accelerated Xu Zhimo's divorce was the appearance of Lin.
It was Lin who prompted Xu Zhimo to write poetry.
He wanted to fall in love freely, so 192 1 year, Xu Zhimo met Lin, who was only sixteen years old, in Cambridge. This talented, educated, ingenious and beautiful girl completely conforms to Xu Zhimo's imagination and deeply fascinated Xu Zhimo.
Xu Zhimo mentioned in the preface of Tiger Collection that before he was 24 years old, he had nothing to do with poetry. His meeting with Lin inspired his new poetry creation.
While studying at Cambridge University in England, poetry creation broke out. He said in "Smoking and Culture": "I am really happy in Cambridge, and I am afraid that I will never get such a sweet baptism again in my life." It is this love affair with Lin that makes Xu Zhimo's poems surging.
In Dew on the Grass, he wrote: "You are a charitable person with poor spirit, you show a rainbow of truth, goodness and beauty, and you live at the peak of real life." This is Xu Zhimo's first poem dedicated to Lin.
Lu Xiaoman is only Xu Zhimo's second best. "If you go, I will go" is a poem that Xu Zhimo attached to Lin in July of 193 1. On June 1 19 10/9 of the same year, Xu Zhimo flew to Beiping to attend a lecture by Lin, and his plane crashed into a mountain in Jinan and was killed. Therefore, this poem is the last poem written by Xu Zhimo to Lin. It says:
When you are far away, I will stride forward,
This wilderness is full of fresh night dew;
Don't worry about the clouds, but the wind is blowing.
Mercury flows in the sea of clouds;
What's more, always look at my heart;
And that sleepless pearl, I love you!
Although both of them have married (Xu Zhimo has been married to Lu Xiaoman for five years), Xu Zhimo still frankly loves Lin.
Perhaps, his love for Lin is like this passage he wrote: "There should be at least one time in your life that you forget yourself for someone. No results, no peers, no ownership. I don't even ask you to love me, I just want to meet you in my most beautiful years. "
