Ten miles away, the green mountains are far away, and the tidal flat road is sandy.
The birds chirped several times to complain about the years, and it was a desolate time at the end of the world.
The white dew collects the waning moon, and the breeze disperses the dawn clouds.

The opening two sentences describe a traveling monk who is walking on the damp and sandy road by the river, perhaps looking for a temple in the green mountains and jungles ten miles away. The two sentences create a landscape picture of mountains and rivers, which hints at the loneliness of the person in the painting traveling alone. According to Zhongshu's life experience, it can be inferred that the reason why he traveled around was not entirely for the purpose of worshiping Buddha, but either to seek Taoism and visit friends, or to indulge in the mountains and rivers and eliminate worldly worries through travel. Then he suddenly lamented that "birds are chirping several times to complain about the years." This is not a bird chirping to complain about the years, but a traveler's own regret for wasted years when he hears the sound of birds on the way. Birds chirping and flowers blossoming are originally a great scene for a joyful swim, but for a wandering monk who has abandoned his home and wanders, what he feels is a "bleak time". The word "again" is preceded by it, indicating this wandering life. It's not too late. The author can faithfully write down what he saw, heard and felt during the journey, with rich scenes and scenes, which shows his rich poetic sentiment and frank character.

The graceful lotus flowers evoked his beautiful memories with their natural charm, making him suddenly realize that this was a revisit to an old place. He clearly remembered that when he came here, in order to relieve the fatigue of traveling, he bought wine from a hotel here and watched the lotus flowers on the embankment while drunk. "That person" refers to himself, and "family" is used as the suffix to strengthen the tone of "that person". The meaning of this sentence is "Do you still remember the person who came here to buy wine years ago?" The monk's character, humor, and his free and easy writing style can be seen in the wonderful writing of this scene.
