Summer for Thee, Grant I May Be

If I could be your summer

—Emily Dickinson

—Emily Dickinson

Summer for thee, grant I may be, < /p>

If I could be your summer,

When Summer days are flown!

When summer days are flown away,

Thy music still, when whipporwill,

I will still be your music ringing in my ears!

And oriole — are done!

When the nightingale and the oriole have finished their song ,

For thee to bloom, I'll skip the tomb,

For thee to bloom, I'll skip the tomb,

And row my blossoms o 'er!

My flowers are arranged in thousands of rows!

Pray gather me — anemone —,

May you gather me — your anemone Fragrance——

Thy flower — forevermore!

Your flower——forever blooming for you!

English short poem about summer 2

The last rose of summer

by Thomas Moore

'Tis the last rose of summer

Left blooming alone;

All her lovely panions

Are faded and gone;

The last rose of summer, why do you shine alone?

Your lovely sisters have long since disappeared. Search everywhere.

No flower of her kindred,

No rosebud is nigh,

To reflect back her blushes,

To give sigh for sigh .

No other fragrant flower buds can set off your shy look.

I sigh with you in the gentle summer breeze.

I'll not leave thee, thou lone one!

To pine on the stem;

Since the lovely are sleeping,

Go, sleep thou with them.

I don’t want you to die alone on your flower branch,

The sister flower is dead, please sleep next to her. .

Thus kindly I scatter,

Thy leaves o'er the bed,

Where thy mates of the garden

Lie scentless and dead.

I will scatter your green leaves on your little boudoir bed,

You and your sisters will stroll to heaven together.

So soon may I follow,

When friendships decay,

From Love's shining circle

The gems drop away.

If friendship has died, I don’t want to stay in this world.

I give my ice heart to the beautiful woman. Pure love shines brightly.

When true hearts lie withered

And fond ones are flown,

Oh! who would inhabit,

This bleak world alone?

If love is dead, the beloved is Die,

Life will soon be meaningless, I would like to go to heaven in advance.

Across the grave, swaying branches everywhere!
