Li Bai's poems praising Wu Zetian

Looking through Li Taibai's collected works, I can't find a poem praising Wu Zetian that Li Bai once wrote. Li Bai lived in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Li Bai was just five years old when Wu Zetian died. Li Bai was praised as a "poetic fairy" by later generations. His poems are magnificent and elegant, and his artistic achievements are extremely high. He has a heroic personality and loves the mountains and rivers of the motherland. Most of his poems mainly describe mountains and rivers and express inner feelings. His representative works include Looking at Lushan Waterfall, Entering Wine, Difficult Road to Shu, Dream of Climbing Mount Tianmu, Chivalry, Spring Thoughts, Qiu Ge and so on. Li Bai once listed Wu Zetian as one of the "Seven Saints" in the Tang Dynasty, who was highly respected, but he did not write a poem praising her.

However, Wu Zetian is not only the only female emperor in China history, but also a poet. She has written many good poems, such as Ruyi Niang, The Picture of Ding Song, Happy Days of Tang Dynasty and Official Road. One of the most famous poems, Ruyi Niang, is a seven-character quatrain written by Wu Zetian when she became a monk in Ganye Temple. This is a love poem dedicated to Tang Gaozong. This poem is full of homesickness and sadness, with twists and turns in scale, which combines the style of Yuefu in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, beautiful and subtle, gorgeous and fresh.

1, the original text is as follows:

Zhu Jian thinks in succession, looking haggard and fragmented.

If you don't believe me, you will cry. Open the box and take the pomegranate skirt.

2. Vernacular translation:

Because of excessive acacia, I was emotional and saw red as green in a trance. I miss you so much, my body is haggard and I am in a trance. If you don't believe that I often cry because I miss you recently, then open the box and look at the tears on my pomegranate skirt.
