Why does Qiangdi complain about the spring breeze of willow trees? Who wrote Yumenguan?

In the Tang Dynasty, Wang Zhihuan's understanding of "why should a flute complain about a willow, but a spring breeze cannot pass Yumenguan" is as follows:

First, the source.

These two sentences are from Wang Zhihuan's frontier poem "Liangzhou Ci" (the first part). The whole poem is:

The Yellow River is far above the white clouds. It is an isolated city, Wan Ren Mountain. Why do Qiang people complain about willow trees? The spring breeze does not pass through Yumen Pass.

This is a poem about homesickness. The first two sentences are about the desolate and magnificent frontier fortress, and the last two sentences are about the sad homesickness.

Secondly, it gives a brief description of Qiangdi, Zheyangliu, Spring Breeze and Yumenguan.

Qiangdi has two pipes and four holes, which were only found in frontier fortress in Tang Dynasty. It is a musical instrument played by the frontier minorities represented by the Qiang nationality, which is loved by border guards.

The quaint sound of Qiangdi itself gives the border people the sound of shouting and the feelings of moving, sadness and parting.

Fold the willow tree. The Northern Dynasties' Song of Drum Horn Blowing Across the Wind said, "Horses don't catch whips, but oppose Yang Liuzhi. Dismount and play the flute, worrying about killing travelers. " It was Yang Liuzhi who blew willow songs to send his relatives to the frontier fortress.

Spring breeze refers to the natural spring breeze, but also refers to the emperor's grace.

Yumenguan is the gateway from the mainland to the western regions. In this poem, Yumenguan refers to the northwest border.

Third, the meaning of "why should the flute blame the willow, but the spring breeze is only Yumenguan".

Why do you want to play the sad tune of "broken willow" with Qiangdi? Spring breeze can't pass Yumen Pass, and there is no willow to fold.

The soldiers in the frontier defended the motherland and the people in the harsh environment without spring, but the kindness of the feudal rulers did not benefit here. The melodious and exciting flute expresses the homesickness that goes deep into the bone marrow, and also expresses the hidden resentment against the ruler. Although there is resentment, it is not decadent, and it appropriately expresses the voice of the soldiers.
