The late Tang style of the Song Dynasty inherited the poetic style of Jia Dao and Yao He of the late Tang Dynasty.
Late Tang style refers to a group of people in the early Song Dynasty who imitated the poetry style of Jia Dao and Yao He in the Tang Dynasty. Because people in the Song Dynasty often regarded Jia and Yao as late Tang poets, they called it "Late Tang style" . Representative of the poets "Nine Monks", most of the content describes the clear and quiet mountain scenery and the lonely and indifferent hermit life. The form pays special attention to the five rhymes. Hermits such as Pan Lang, Wei Ye, Lin Bu, on the one hand imitated Jia Dao's careful consideration of every word, and on the other hand, Pan Lang, Wei Ye, Lin Bu and other hermits imitated Jia Dao's careful consideration of every word. On the one hand, there is also a tendency for white-style poetry to be easy and fluent.
This refers to a style of poetry in which poets in the early Song Dynasty imitated the poetry style of Jia Dao and Yao He in the Tang Dynasty. Because Song people often regarded them as late Tang poets, they were named "Late Tang style", but in fact they were all from the Mid-Tang Dynasty. Among the poets of the late Tang Dynasty, those who adhered most closely to Jia and Yao's standards were the "Nine Monks", among whom Hui Chong was more prominent.
They inherited the spirit of chanting by Jia Dao and Yao He, and most of their contents depict the clear and quiet mountain scenery and the lonely and indifferent reclusive life. Another group of poets in the late Tang Dynasty are Pan Lang, Lin Bu, etc. Their poems mainly sing about the beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains and express the mood of living in seclusion and self-admiration.
Kou Zhun, who has a very different identity from the late Tang style poets, served as a prime minister and had contacts with the above two poet groups, so he was the leader of the Late Tang style poets. In addition to Nine Monks, there are also Pan Lang, Wei Ye, Lin Bu, Kou Zhun, etc. who are regarded as late Tang style poets.
