Longfellow's poems or poems about life

A hymn to life (Longfellow)

Author: step by step, step by step, submission date: September 2004-123: 55.

Don't tell me in sad poems:

"Life is just a dream!"

When the soul falls asleep, it is equal to death.

The truth of the matter is different from the appearance.

Don't tell me in sad poems,

"Life is just an empty dream!"

Because the sleeping soul is dead,

Things are not what they seem.

Life is real! Life is real!

Its destination is by no means a barren grave;

You are dust, and you will return to dust.

This refers to the body, not the soul.

Life is real! Life is serious!

The grave is not its goal;

"You are dust, and to dust you return."

Not the soul.

Our destiny and path.

Not happiness, nor pain;

But action, every tomorrow.

Go beyond today and take a new step.

Not happy, not sad,

Is our destined destination or road;

But action, every tomorrow.

Found that we were farther away than today.

Endless wisdom and art, time flies;

This heart, though brave and strong,

It's like a drumstick, beating drums in silence,

Once again, send the funeral to the cemetery.

Art is eternal, time is short,

Our hearts, though strong and brave,

Still, like a low drum, it is beating.

The funeral marched to the grave.

The world is a vast battlefield,

Life is camping everywhere;

Don't be like that dumb animal that was driven away.

Be a powerful hero!

In the vast battlefield of the world,

In the camp of life,

Don't be like a dumb cow being driven away!

Become a hero in the fight!

Don't look forward to the future, no matter how lovely it is!

Bury the past forever!

Take action-now!

There is a red heart in your heart and a real slaughter on your head!

Don't believe in the future, no matter how beautiful it is!

Let the dead past bury its dead!

Let's do it now!

There is God in my heart!

Great man's life inspires us:

We can live a noble life,

When you die,

Leave footprints on the beach of time;

The great man's life reminds us

We can make our life noble,

Leave us when you leave.

Footprints on the beach of time;

Maybe we have a brother.

Sailing in the solemn sea of life,

The ship sank in distress, a moment of despair,

You will see this footprint and cheer up.

Footprints, maybe another one,

Sailing on the solemn sea of life,

An abandoned shipwrecked brother,

See, will summon up courage again.

So, let's get up and do it,

Dare to bear any fate;

Keep forging ahead, keep pursuing,

Good at working and waiting.

So, let's act,

With a heart for any fate;

Still realizing, still pursuing,

Learn to work and wait.
