Lu Xun was born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang. A famous writer, thinker, revolutionary and democratic fighter, an important participant in the New Culture Movement, and one of the founders of modern literature in China. Originally known as Zhou Zhangshou, it was later renamed Yushan, and later changed to Yucai. In his early years, he went to Japan to study at public expense with Li Suizhi and Qian Junfu, and graduated from Sendai Medical College in Japan. "Lu Xun", 19 18, is the most commonly used pseudonym when he published Diary of a Madman.
