First, "short songs"
Short songs are famous works that express their will by expressing things. Cao Cao, a poet, expressed his desire for talents and his expectation of making contributions. Zhang Qingyugu commented: "This sigh is fleeting. If you want talents, you should write Wang Yeshi early." Chen Qingling commented: "This poem is the purpose of thinking about the brave in the Song of the Great Wind by Emperor Gaozu."
Modern scholars have different interpretations of a short song, but there are not a few who share the same view with Zhang Yugu and Chen Ling. Indeed, as a poet, Cao Cao is also a famous politician and strategist. "Short songs" express the poet's desire for talents. Whether he is thirsty for talents or lamenting that talents are fleeting, his ultimate goal is to make contributions and realize his political ambitions.
Second, "returning to the garden":
Returning to the Garden is a group of five poems, which is also a famous piece in the history of literature. However, different from Cao's poems, this group of poems is a representative work of the pastoral school, and its author Tao Yuanming is a famous hermit, unconventional, fresh and natural.
Yuan Haowen once commented: "Look at Tao's concentration and return to the field after drinking. Is this poem? He really wrote a poem. The natural carving is really acacia. " Its high achievements can also be seen. These two poems with great achievements have different styles at first.
"Short Songs" is a four-word ancient poem, two words, simple and dignified. Returning to the Garden (I) is the first poem in a series, full of pastoral atmosphere and fresh and natural style. A "dignified" and a "fresh", the contrast between the two is also the first coincidence of the two.
When we open the textbook "Compulsory Chinese for Senior High School (Volume II)" published by People's Education Publishing House, we can see the arrangement of the two at a glance, that is, "short songs" come first and "Return to the Garden" (Volume I) comes last. In addition to considering the time when poetry came into being, editors may also associate it with the style of poetry. Two poems, one dignified and the other fresh, and dignified first and then fresh.
This heavy and clear contrast is very strong. Even if the teacher doesn't call the roll in class, it is not difficult for students to compare by self-study, so that they can remember it deeply. The different forms and styles of the two poems make their emotional intensity very different. Short Songs is a four-character ancient poem with a single rhythm, which is forceful to read and reveals the poet's firm will and consistency inside and outside. His feelings are strong and exciting.
