Appreciation of the TV prose "Diary of Survival in Hoh Xil"

This is the last virgin land on earth. On the navy blue plateau, there are hundreds of millions of years of wind and sand, and vertical and horizontal ravines, like the marks of vicissitudes left on the face of the old man by the endless years. The average altitude here is more than 4,700 meters, and two or three meters below the surface is the eternal permafrost. The climate here is extremely cold and windy all year round. It is an extremely harsh living environment for humans, but it is also a paradise for wild animals. On the rolling hills, herds of Tibetan antelopes and wild yaks run happily, and vultures fly overhead in the vast blue sky. This is the last natural land in my country that retains its original state and the largest no-man's land: Hoh Xil. At the dawn of dawn, the Tibetan antelope's cheerful running footsteps, stepping on the first ray of sunlight, awakened this land far away from the world and full of stories. Hoh Xil is a closed nature reserve. Some people say that there are only two kinds of people in it, one is poachers and the other is anti-poachers. In the wilderness where living conditions are extremely harsh, one kind of people take risks for despicable selfish interests, while the other kind of people are persistent for their noble beliefs and come here to brush shoulders with danger and death. They are the volunteers of the Hoh Xil Nature Reserve. Volunteers said that if you want to go to Hoh Xil, May is the right month. Although it is cold, you can cut ice and melt snow and get water. It is May now, and it is the season of pink flowers, red willows, and bright flowers all over the country. However, chipping away at the ice and melting the snow and having access to water are enough to satisfy these volunteers. For Hoh Xil, these people are all strangers. They come from all over the motherland. They have only read Hoh Xil's name on TV, in newspapers or in books. However, they are willing to give up the warm and wealthy days in their memories and come here to chip away at the ice and melt the snow, in the company of loneliness. The stories of poaching and anti-poaching that are constantly being staged in Hoh Xil make this largest no-man’s land always full of tragic and emotional collisions. That tragedy, for those who have experienced it personally, has become a kind of tragedy embedded in life. This tragedy made these volunteers fall in love with this land, this lonely wilderness, and the place where their comrades shed their blood even more deeply. Give up one month of your life in exchange for eternal peace and tranquility in Hoh Xil. This volunteer’s oath makes people cry. Many volunteers told us that such days are not only difficult, more than a test, more than a challenge to the limits of human survival, and more than a fight against poachers. Here they read more about life. For them, when the hardships of reality continue to sharpen their lives, their hearts will become as high and holy as the sky there. In the movie, what happened in Hoh Xil was a cruel war, a battle that witnessed life and faith. The process of filming this film was also like a war, a war against the harsh conditions of nature, a war that cleanses the soul. Lu Chuan, the director of "Kekexili", said that the story of "Kekexili" is difficult to tell and can only be understood by those who have actually experienced it. This sentence sounds so familiar, because almost everyone who comes out of Hoh Xil will say this. Most people may never have the opportunity to get close to the mysterious land of Hoh Xil, but because of Sonam Dajie’s sacrifice, the dedication of generations of mountain rangers, the investment of countless volunteers, and the movie "Kekexili", our hearts are getting closer and closer to it.
