Du Fu (Tang)
Come to Yizhou in Qinglian Baifang, and return to Wuxia Qiutao from heaven and earth.
when the stone falls out, it will listen to the maple leaves, and the oars will shake their backs and point to the chrysanthemums.

Du Xianggong: refers to Du Hung-chien. Yizhou: Place name, ready-made capital.
green curtain: a curtain made of green cloth. White boat: a boat made of white wood. This refers to the official ship. Qiu Tao: Autumn waves. Return: Return.
out of the stone: the stone protrudes. Here refers to the cliff in the gorge. Paddle: A tool for propelling a ship, which is longer and larger than an oar, is installed at the stern or beside the ship and is shaken by people.
back pointing: pointing backwards. Greed: greed. Ritual: a good time. Post-life: a subsequent order.
trend: take small steps and scurry. Antarctic Star: invivo, here Li Ba. Beidou: This refers to Chang 'an.
five clouds: five-color auspicious clouds. Miscellaneous Notes on Xijing: "Dong Zhongshu said:' In times of peace, the clouds are colored to celebrate'"
Three sets: the name of the stars, in the Book of Jin and the Chronicle of Heaven: "Three sets of six stars live in pairs ... In people, it is said that the three are fair, and in the sky, the Lord opens a declaration of virtue. West near Wenchang, the two stars came to power, for the life of the secretary, the main life. The second star is called Zhongtai, which is the chief imperial clan. Dong Erxing said that he would step down as Silu and the main soldier, so Zhao Desai violated it. " This refers to Du Xiangfu.
Translation:
Secretary Li Ba came from Yizhou on an official ship with green curtains and white wood. It was late autumn, and the waves in Wuxia Gorge were stirring and the sound of the waves echoed.
On the high cliff, I heard the maple leaves rustling down, and Secretary Li Ba's boat quickly turned back, farther and farther away from the blooming chrysanthemums.
I'm anxious to take a post in Xiangfu. I'm afraid I'll miss my wedding, and I'm afraid Xianggong will come to urge me later.
Just like invivo facing the Big Dipper, you are going to Chang 'an to work in the Xiangfu, which is the place where auspicious clouds gather.

This poem was written in the second year of Tang Daizong Dali (767), when the poet was in Kuizhou. Li Ba, the secretary, went to Chang 'an Du Xianggong House from Yizhou to visit Du Fu via Kuizhou.
The first couplet: "Green curtain and white boat come from Yizhou, and Wuxia and Qiutao return from heaven to earth." This couplet is upside down, pointing out the season, people and place. Secretary Li Ba crossed the Wuxia Gorge by boat, and the sound of the waves echoed. The word "Hui" was very imposing, reflecting the vast space and the majestic Wuxia Gorge, and the "green" and "white" formed a bright color contrast, which was vivid and colorful. Putting "Green Curtain and White Boat" upside down at the beginning of the sentence highlights the official business of Secretary Li Ba, laying the groundwork for the hasty departure of the following article.
Zhuan Lian: "When the stone comes out, it will be heard under the maple leaf, and when the oar shakes its back, it will point to the chrysanthemum blossom." This couplet continues to write about the scenery of the boat trip. The "reverse listening" and "reverse pointing" all describe the scene in front of us from the change of position. The "reverse listening" highlights the height of the cliff from the hearing, and the maple leaves float down, while the stone is on the top. For the stone, the trance is to hear the rustling leaves, and the "reverse pointing" visually describes the speed of the boat trip, and the blooming chrysanthemums are soon left behind. "Under the Maple Leaf" and "Chrysanthemum Blossoms" show readers a vivid dynamic picture, with flaming maple leaves flying, golden chrysanthemums in full bloom, and friends' boats passing through the painting.
Necklace couplet: "Greed for the Prime Minister's fortune broke out this morning, and I'm afraid I'll be urged after the wedding." The eagerness of writing friends to go to work, the speed of the boat trip. "greed" and "fear of loss" express the poet's dissatisfaction with his friend's hasty departure, which reflects the deep friendship with his friend.
Tail connection: "The South Pole has one star facing the Big Dipper, and there are three in five clouds." "Antarctic" is right for "Beidou" and "Five Clouds" is right for "Three Stations". This couplet means that Chang 'an is a good place with colorful auspicious clouds, and friends have great prospects in Xiangfu. Chang 'an is a place that poets yearn for wholeheartedly. It is inevitable to show envy for friends who go to Chang 'an here.
