Xie Mian was born in Fuzhou, Fujian, from 1932 to 65438+1October 6. Xie used a pseudonym. 1945- 1949 studied in Fuzhou middle school. 1955 was admitted to the language and literature department of China, Peking University, and graduated from 1960. Since then, he has been teaching in this department. The monograph "On China Literature in the Twentieth Century" won the Outstanding Achievement Award of China Contemporary Literature Research Association.
