Hongdong people's Hongdong history
At the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty, large-scale military disasters and natural disasters occurred in the North China Plain and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. First, the Ming army led by Zhu Yuanzhang and the Yuan army fought to the death in this land, and then Zhu Yuanzhang's son Judy and Jianwen Emperor had a cruel battle for the throne. Jianwen Emperor made Nanjing its capital, which was called "the change of Jing Nan" in history. In these two large-scale military disasters, natural disasters have continued year after year. Floods, locusts and droughts occur alternately. "White bones are exposed in the wild, and there are no crows in a thousand miles." The fertile North China Plain and Jiangnan water towns have become a mess, and some places have even become "no man's land". In sharp contrast, the Sanjincheng area, especially the southern Shanxi area, has stable politics, abundant food and grass, and simple folk customs. In order to consolidate politics, border defense and resume production, the Ming Dynasty adopted the measures of resettling the fields, and concentrated millions of immigrants from the rich province of Shanxi, especially Hongdong County, the richest man in Shanxi. "In the past, I drove Tatars from Rong, but now I am in the eastern foot of Taihang Mountain, Hongdong supports my younger brother, settled in Jiujiafeng, and planted three or five plants in Gugang. I remember my parents in Jinzhong, and the legend of sleeping in the snow lasts forever, followed by Wei Sai Jinsong." This poem, engraved in front of Yuan Ancestral Hall in Heze, Shandong, fully reflects the homesickness of future generations for their hometown. Although thousands of miles apart, they still don't forget to plant several locust trees on Gaogang, so that they can echo the big locust trees in their hometown, end to end, and have the same blood. The migration of Hongdong has greatly increased the population of the Central Plains and solved the labor force. The area of cultivated land has increased substantially, and agricultural production has resumed rapidly; In the Ming Dynasty, the tax revenue and grain income increased greatly, and the society became prosperous and stable. At the same time, immigration and land reclamation consolidated the frontier defense of the Ming government.
