Although the clay movable type printing invented by Bi A was not widely popularized at that time, it has been developing because of the continuous imitation of later generations. The materials of movable type are also constantly improved, from non-metallic movable type such as clay type and wood type to metal movable type such as copper type, lead type and tin type.
From Yuan Dynasty to Qing Dynasty, people always imitated Bi A's method to make clay type.
