Where can Wuhan be traced back to BC?

Wuhan has a long history. According to archaeological excavations and ancient books, as early as 5,000 years ago, ancestors lived here. Zhangxiwan city site in huangpi district is the earliest discovered city site in Wuhan, and it is the site of Panlongcheng in huangpi district, north of the city. It was the capital of Shang Dynasty 3500 years ago, and it is also the only ancient city of Shang Dynasty found in the Yangtze River valley so far. Since the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Wuhan has been the military and commercial center of southern China. In the late Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China and the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Wuhan's economy was prosperous and ranked among the best in Asia. At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, the "China-Russia Tea Road" was opened, and Hankou, as a starting point, gradually became the world tea trade capital, and was praised as the "tea port" by Europeans. After the opening of Hankou, foreign trade kept pace with Shanghai, becoming the second largest city in China, known as Chicago in the East.
