Moxibustion warms and nourishes the intestines and stomach to prevent coldness and coldness

With the changes in modern people’s living habits, gluttony for cold drinks, craving for rich and sweet foods, and staying up late are common occurrences in most people. The spleen and stomach need to consume Yang Qi in the body when digesting cold food. Staying up late for a long time will also excessively consume Yang Qi in the body, thus interfering with the metabolic rhythm of the gastrointestinal tract. In the long run, it will lead to spleen deficiency, until dampness is produced and phlegm is reduced. Secondly, eating too much fatty, sweet and thick-flavored food will inevitably increase the burden on the spleen and stomach; thirdly, the liver and the spleen and stomach have a very close relationship, and the liver also supplies power to the spleen and stomach. Being depressed for a long time will damage the liver, thereby causing adverse effects on the function of the spleen and stomach. Influence. Therefore, modern people are prone to gastrointestinal diseases. At this time, you might as well try the convenient and practical moxibustion.

First, symptomatic treatment is required. This requires identifying the symptoms and clarifying the type of gastrointestinal disease. Gastrointestinal diseases usually include inflammatory diseases, such as colitis, acute and chronic gastritis, duodenitis, etc.; immune diseases, such as colonic melanosis, etc.; ulcer diseases, such as intestinal ulcers, gastric ulcers, etc.; tuberculosis diseases, such as intestinal tuberculosis; polyps. categories, such as intestinal polyps, gastric polyps, etc. Different types of gastrointestinal diseases have corresponding symptoms. Common symptoms of digestive diseases include abdominal pain, stomachache, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, anorexia, vomiting, etc.

Only by identifying the correct syndrome type can moxibustion be carried out in a targeted manner to relieve symptoms through syndrome differentiation and treatment.

The main factors leading to gastrointestinal diseases usually include changes in dietary structure and decreased activity, resulting in weakening of the body's Qi movement and the growth of cold and dampness in the body. The most important effect of moxibustion is to warm the body. Therefore, it is very suitable to use moxibustion to relieve cold and dampness in patients. "Shen Moxibustion Jinglun" says: "Moxibustion is based on fire. It is fast due to the heat of fire. The body is soft and strong. It can eliminate the yin shading, and it can go without guarding. It is good at entering the internal organs. It uses the pungent aroma of moxa as a stick to clear the air. Twelve meridians, enter the three yin, regulate qi and blood, and cure all kinds of diseases." This briefly explains the characteristics and effects of moxibustion in treating diseases.

The main raw material for moxibustion is mugwort leaves. This composite plant is made into moxa velvet, moxa sticks or moxa cones, and is burned on the corresponding acupuncture points through various methods, causing the acupuncture points to be affected or indirectly affected by the disease. Or direct thermal stimulation, through the conduction of meridians, acts on the human body, thereby achieving the goals of disease prevention and health care. In fact, moxibustion therapy combined with mugwort and drugs is more common in clinical practice.

1. Direct moxibustion. Crush the moxa into small pieces and place it on the acupuncture points to light it. This type of moxibustion is rarely used in clinical practice because it can easily burn the skin and produce unsightly scars. However, ginger-partition moxibustion, a variation of this method, is very popular among people. The specific operation is to place a piece of ginger with holes in it under a moxa cone pad, and then start treatment. It is convenient and safe and can be performed at the patient's home.

2. Warm acupuncture. This moxibustion method uses needles to stimulate relevant acupoints, and then moxibustion is performed on these acupoints. The key to warm acupuncture is to accurately find the acupoints, and at the same time, there are high requirements for moxa, otherwise it may cause burns to the patient. Therefore, this method is not suitable for patients to use at home.

3. Instrumental moxibustion. For example, in moxa box moxibustion, after lighting the moxa stick, place it in the box, and then place the box on the patient's relevant acupoints for treatment. This method is safe and effective, and is widely used.

4. Suspension moxibustion. Hold the lit moxa stick and perform moxibustion treatment while maintaining a safe distance from the skin. This is also a more commonly used method, safe and convenient.

Commonly used acupuncture points for moxibustion treatment of gastrointestinal diseases include Zhongwan point, Guanyuan point, Zusanli point and Qihai point. The following are specific moxibustion treatments for people with different situations.

1. For patients who are afraid of cold in the stomach and feel cold and uncomfortable after eating fruits and vegetables, moxa box moxibustion can be used on the Zhongwan point and moxa sticks can be used on Zusanli. 2-3 times a week, take 1 acupoint each time and perform moxibustion for 15-20 minutes.

2. For patients with colds, diarrhea and fear of cold in the abdomen, moxa box moxibustion Qihai and Guanyuan can be used, 1 or 2 times a week for 20 to 30 minutes.

3. There is also a solar term moxibustion suitable for treating gastrointestinal diseases, which is to moxibustion Shenque point once a day for 2 hours before and after the autumnal equinox for 7 consecutive days. It can effectively prevent the occurrence of gastrointestinal diseases.

First of all, we must get rid of unhealthy eating habits, try to reduce the intake of fatty, sweet and thick food, and have as many food varieties as possible, without being partial to eclipse; secondly, we must pay attention to moderate exercise. For ordinary people, every day The basic daily activity level is 10,000 steps; thirdly, pay attention to regulating emotions and maintaining a comfortable mood; finally, avoid staying up late frequently and develop a good habit of going to bed early and getting up early.

It should be pointed out that moxibustion therapy is not suitable for everyone. For example, people with uncoated and red tongues need to use moxibustion with caution. This is because the constitution of such patients is generally of the hot type, and whether moxibustion can be used should be determined by the doctor based on the patient's actual condition.
