Master Renda's experience before becoming a monk

Master Ren Yun, born in 1942, graduated from Tianjin Institute of Light Industry in his early years. Professor-level senior engineer, majoring in food biochemistry. It was recognized by the Ministry of Personnel and the State Science and Technology Commission as "the trans-century academic leader of bean products" in China. 1992, Master Ren Yun converted to Buddhism under the seat of the capable elder (the 45th grandson of Lin Jizong) of Fayuan Temple in Beijing, and then became a monk. In 2005, at the age of 64, he began to burn incense from Boshan Zhengjue Temple and made a pilgrimage to Wutai Mountain, a Buddhist holy place.
