Modern calligrapher Fu Jianzeng is famous for his left-handed calligraphy. He founded Nankai University Painting and Calligraphy Society and served as its president. He teaches China's philosophy, China's cultural history, aesthetics, calligraphy and many other courses in the university. In his early years, he studied under Wang Qian, a famous female calligrapher in China, and later had many contacts with calligraphy masters such as Wu Yuru, Li Henian, Ouyang Zhongshi, Wang Xuezhong and Fan Zengzhu. His calligraphy works are collected by Japan, Britain, America, Italy, Canada and other countries. Currently, he is the vice chairman of China Calligraphers Association, the director of China Poetry Society, the director of China Association for the Promotion of Art and Culture, the deputy director of Calligraphy Professional Committee, and the president of Beijing Oriental Painting and Calligraphy Institute.
