Mingxia Cave is located on the hillside of Kunlun Mountain in the south of Laoshan Mountain. Climbing up the stairs from the bottom of the mountain, you will reach the cave entrance about 1 kilometer along a secluded road. You can also take the Taiqing Cableway to go straight up. The cave was excavated during the Dading period of the Jin Dynasty. The three characters "Mingxia Cave" on the forehead were inscribed by Wang Xu, a calligrapher of the Qing Dynasty. It is said that the original cave was tall and spacious, and Sun Ziyang, a Taoist in the Ming Dynasty, once meditated here. During the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, it was struck by lightning and most of it fell underground. The huge stone in the east of the cave still exists, with the inscription "Half Zhuxia in the Sky". In front of the cave, there is a flat cliff like a platform, from which you can see the sea in the distance, and the sky is vast; looking down at the bottom of the cliff, you can see ravines and ravines. This is the scenic spot of Laoshan Mountain, "Mingxia Scattered Qi". Climbing up from the trail behind the cave, you can reach the top of Kunlun (commonly known as Beidading) through Xuanzhen Cave, where there is Tianchi.
