Why are the basic characteristics of calligraphy art concrete and abstract?
Because of the uniqueness of calligraphy, people can see that it is the unity of concreteness and abstraction. Calligraphy is permeated with calligraphers' strong feelings, so calligraphy is by no means a simple objective reflection. It does have the function of expressing thoughts, so it can't be considered as just expressing emotions. The characters and symbols expressed by calligraphy are abstract. Calligraphy should be processed and evolved on the basis of the general text framework, and its abstract significance is obvious. However, the semantics expressed by calligraphy does correspond to objective things, and it is reasonable to say that it has concrete characteristics.
