What kinds of seal script are there?

Big seal, small seal. Big seal script refers to inscriptions on bronze inscriptions, bronzes and six-country scripts, which retain the obvious characteristics of ancient hieroglyphics. Xiao Zhuan, also known as "Qin Zhuan", is a commonly used character in Qin State and a simplified font of Da Zhuan, which is characterized by uniform and neat glyphs and is easier to write than Shu Zhuan.

His brushwork is thin and powerful, with many curves and few straight lines. Starting from Fang Bi, he received more "garters" with round pens and sharp pens.

Seal script is the earliest script, and its brushwork is relatively simple compared with other scripts. The knot of seal script is decorative. Therefore, "calligraphy begins with seal script, and learners learn seal script first." The style of seal script is serious and the cloth is rigorous. Learning seal script can avoid weakness, vulgarity, barrenness and inclination.

Learning seal script, the most important thing is to master the strokes of vertical lines and horizontal lines, and master the strokes of arcs. The arc stroke is Qin Zhuan's basic skill, but it is difficult to master and needs more research and long-term training.

When practicing strokes, it should be noted that when starting horizontally, the position above the horizontal line begins to enter the paper reversely, and the nib is slightly tilted to the right to avoid bifurcation. When you get to the left, you should hold the nib and go down, then move the pen up to the right, and control the edge of the pen to overlap with the pen when it reaches the lower left. The pen should be as round and square as the chopstick head.

When writing, pay attention to the uniformity of the right line, remember to pick up the pen and write by the pen. Pay special attention to the pen used in the center, and make sure that the pen tip is in the middle of the strokes when writing.
