The Three Gorges, one of the top ten scenic spots in China, refers to the natural barrier that the third section of the Yangtze River is both disconnected and connected. It starts from Baidicheng, Fengjie, Sichuan, and ends at Nanjinguan, Yichang, Hubei, with a total length of193km, followed by Qutang Gorge, Wuxia Gorge and Xiling Gorge.
There are many tourist attractions and ancient cultural relics along the Three Gorges. They form a huge picture of nature with colorful and different styles.
The name of the Three Gorges first appeared in the Jin Dynasty. Zuo Si's "Sandu Fu" and "Shudu Fu" have a sentence "crossing the Three Gorges". But it was not until the Song Dynasty that the Three Gorges became proper names of Qutang Gorge, Wuxia Gorge and Xiling Gorge. The history of the Three Gorges can be traced back to tens of millions of years ago. The Three Gorges is a magnificent poem in the history of earth change.
Qutang Gorge is a canyon in Guangxi, also known as Basha. In the Tang Dynasty, Yang Jiong said that "the Three Gorges in Guangxi is the first, and the land is both vast and spacious" ("Guangxi Gorge"), while Du Fu wrote "Come back from this mountain, cross another mountain, come up from the south, and then go north-to my own town!" ("The Imperial Army Recovered the Banks of the Yellow River"). According to the western end of the Three Gorges, this canyon is 8 kilometers long. The canyon is steep and steep. Chijiashan, on the north bank of the canyon, was named after the Cuban army. There is a flying spring on the mountainside, which people call the "Notre Dame Spring". According to legend, there was an old grandmother who carved by hand to solve the problem of waterless travel tracker. The south bank of the mountain is like salt, hence the name White Salt Mountain. These two mountains are surrounded by gates, so this land belonged to Zi Kui countries in ancient times, hence the name Kuimen. "Bayu controls thousands of valleys in the west and Jingchu presses mountains in the east", which has been the throat of eastern Sichuan since ancient times. At this point, the river flows back and forth, "many people will prosper, and Qutang will compete for a gate", forming the "Kuimen World" landscape, one of the four wonders in Sichuan. There are many stone carvings in the past dynasties on the cliffs on the south bank, among which Sun's running script "Kuimen is the best in the world, the machine passes gently", Li Haoduan's seal script "Wei Zai Kui Men" and running script "Kuimen Qutang" are particularly eye-catching. Zhang Boxiang's Qutang is 5 feet square, and Zhao Shuo's Ode to Song Zhongxing De has more than 980 words, the largest is five inches, and the smallest is pointed out, all of which are treasures.
The Three Gorges of the Yangtze River is in Sichuan
On the cliff by the river, there is a zigzag row of caves, which go straight to the top of the mountain and are called "Meng Liang ladder". According to legend, after Yang Jiye, a traitor in the Northern Song Dynasty, was killed, his body was extremely hidden. Yang Ai buried the stolen corpse, and made holes and ladders here at night. The monk at the wake stole the cock crow and scared Meng Liang away. When Meng Liang learned this, he shot down the monk's arrow and hung it halfway up the mountain, turning it into a stone. People call him an upside-down monk, just like Meng Liangti. "Meng Liang Ladder" is an unfinished stone ladder.
There is something similar to a bellows at the top of Fengxiang Gorge, which is said to be where Master Lu Ban keeps his tools. It is said that the magistrate of Gukuizhou has a daughter who loves the piano as much as her life. If the piano breaks down for a day, there is no place to repair it. Women are dying without eating or drinking. A carpenter ventured to climb a cliff and found the guqin made by Lu Ban as a gift in the bellows. In fact, bellows are hanging coffins of ancient Ba people. In recent years, the remains of Ba people and bronze swords have been found here.
In the center of Xiakou River, there used to be a bird's nest-shaped boulder with a length of 40 meters and a width of 15 meters, commonly known as "Bird's Nest Stone", which surfaced 20 feet in winter and spring. The water is too messy. The boat people hesitated when they passed by, hence the name "hesitation pile", and the homophonic "swing pile" was engraved with the words "come to me". Legend has it that the ship is innocent; If you avoid a stone, it will break when you touch it. There is an old folk song: "I am as big as a horse and can't get down the pond;" As big as an elephant, Qutang can't get up; It's as big as a turtle. It's a boat in the pond. "Chuanjiang navigation has always been a natural barrier. Legend has it that in Goddess of Mending Heaven, a demon town was put in a hole at the bottom of the river with colored stones. When Dayu was controlling the water, he tied his hands and feet with a treasure ring woven by Wushan Goddess. One year, a young man dived and met a beautiful woman at the bottom of the river and asked him about Dayu. He once heard that the beauty had been changed by the demon, so he stabbed it and sealed the cave door with his sword. Whenever Yao Kui reaches for his sword, the river is rough and the boat capsizes. It was not until 1958 that the garbage dump was blown up that the waters here became passable.
