The biggest feature of Geyuan Garden is the concept and architecture of "rockery in four seasons". In less than 50 acres of the garden, four lifelike fake mountain areas have been opened up, named spring, summer, autumn and winter respectively. The whole garden is centered on Yiyuxuan, and visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the four seasons along the homeopathic direction. Judging from the use of extremely strange stones, Geyuan uses stones of different materials, reflecting different seasons, with bamboo stones as the main body and stones for peak distribution as the characteristics. Zodiac stone symbolizes spring, Taihu stone symbolizes Jiangnan scenery in midsummer, and Huangshi sets off the tall and straight mountains in autumn. Bai Xueshi highlights the coldness of winter snow and has its own characteristics, expressing the poetry of "spring is gorgeous and smiling, summer mountain is green and dripping, autumn mountain is bright and clean as makeup, and winter scenery is bleak and sleepy". Geyuan, with its novel theme and rigorous structure, is a special case of China gardens.
On February 5, 20 15, 15, in order to commemorate the centenary of Mr. Wei Zhizhen's birthday, the "Centennial Exquisite Exhibition of Mr. Wei Zhizhen's Calligraphy" hosted by Yangzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Guangling District Political Consultative Conference and Yangzhou Book Association was held in Baoshan Building, Geyuan, Yangzhou City. Mr. Wei Zhizhen was a leading figure in Yangzhou calligraphy circle around 1980s. Although the number of works exhibited this time is limited, they are all excellent works, which can basically reflect Mr. Wei's calligraphy level.
Geyuan is a typical private residential garden, which is divided into central garden, southern residence and northern bamboo viewing area. When I entered the garden from my residence, the first thing I saw was the moon-cave-shaped garden door with the word "Geyuan" written on the stone forehead. Behind the garden gate is spring scenery, summer scenery in the northwest, autumn scenery in the northeast and winter scenery in the east.
