All candidates applying for the Chinese Language and Literature (Program Hosting) major (undergraduate) at Taiyuan Normal University must take the Provincial Joint Examination for Hosting and Broadcasting. All candidates applying for the radio and television directing major (undergraduate) of Shanxi Normal University and the directing major of higher vocational colleges (junior college) in the province must take the provincial joint examination (the specific work is undertaken by Shanxi Normal University). All candidates who apply for the art design (costume design and performance direction) major (undergraduate) of Taiyuan University of Technology, as well as the costume performance major of provincial colleges and universities, must take the unified examination for art majors and the provincial joint examination hosted by Taiyuan University of Technology. .

Art undergraduate majors in other undergraduate colleges can directly use the provincial unified examination results, or organize school examinations within the scope of candidates who have passed the provincial unified examination. The minimum qualification requirement for candidates majoring in fine arts majors in the unified examination is that the total score in 3 subjects is not less than 180 points, and 2 of the subjects are not less than 60 points each. Provincial unified examination results and transcripts will be issued to candidates by county and district admission notices. They can also be checked on the Shanxi Provincial Admissions and Examination Management Center website (www.sxkszx.cn) after January 16 next year. The admissions institution is responsible for publicizing the school examination results and issuing professional examination certificates.
