The Sublimation of Qu Zisen's Artistic World

Qu Zisen, a bonsai artist and calligrapher, has a special liking for art. He combines various art forms and creates new art forms with his heart. Each art is so vivid and natural. He is not so much a bonsai artist as a calligrapher and more like an artist. He thought seriously, immersed every artistic expression in the deepest part of his heart, and tirelessly explored new artistic forms in his own artistic world, trying to discover. ...

Qu Zisen is currently an academician of China Contemporary Tibetan Painting and Calligraphy Institute, honorary president of Beijing Olympic Painting and Calligraphy Institute, executive director of China Bonsai Artists Association and executive director of Tianjin CPPCC Painting and Calligraphy Research Association. Behind so many honors is his persistence in art. Some people say that Qu Zisen is a master of Tianjin bonsai art, but he says that he still has too much to pursue on the road of art, which is just the beginning. Mr. Qu has been engaged in bonsai art for decades, but his interests are extensive and his calligraphy is quite accomplished. He believes that art is interlinked, and his calligraphy works are as natural and vivid as his bonsai works. In 2006, his pictographic calligraphy "Dragon" was named "Soul of China", and was awarded the first China painting and calligraphy, the first China talent "Golden Cup Award" and the "Soul of China Award" by China Painting and Calligraphy Artists Association, China Internet TV Station and china charity federation.

Mr. Qu keeps innovating in the art world. He organically combined calligraphy and painting art, and used a novel art form to express and inherit the essence of China traditional culture, which is also his persistent pursuit of art. In Mr. Qu's view, tradition is not only a monument, but also a pen and ink. Tradition is mainly a spirit and belongs to the essence of art, which makes the calligraphy aesthetics of China's long culture, from hieroglyphics to Zhong Dingwen, official script and regular script, keep pace with the times. Once again, by chance, Mr. Qu germinated and created all the calligraphy of the zodiac. On the basis of traditional calligraphy, he wants to moderately deform and integrate the shapes of the Chinese zodiac and calligraphy fonts. He created the pictographic calligraphy of the China Zodiac. He wants to integrate this China spirit into an artistic expression, which can enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the masses and contribute to the promotion of national culture. So he spent a year in the sea of pictographic calligraphy, followed the melody of the times and met the aesthetic requirements of modern people, and carefully created the calligraphy works of the zodiac, which were presented to everyone in a novel and retro form, giving people a brand-new artistic appreciation realm.

Pictograph is a method of primitive Chinese characters in China. There were hieroglyphs in ancient times, but they were limited to the shape of an animal, and there was no contrast between contemporary Chinese characters. On the basis of inheriting traditional calligraphy, Mr. Qu found a new way according to the theory of "painting and calligraphy are of the same origin", which pioneered the pictographic calligraphy of the zodiac. On the basis of writing, Mr. Qu made a bold image modeling, adopted a way different from the conventional composition and the combination of tradition, wild and running script, and made a moderate deformation. Form, character and meaning are integrated with the body of each zodiac, and the images are virtual and real, and the ink method and brushwork are handy. The artistic conception of the image is realized by brushwork, which has both form and spirit and is natural, opening up a new way of calligraphy creation.

At the beginning of this year, Mr. Qu obtained 12 patents issued by China. This new element of China's ancient culture and fashion has brought the popular culture of the Zodiac into a new realm.
