That was four years ago, when I was only six years old. My mother wanted to explore my hobbies and hoped that I could learn a specialty. One day, my mother and I were walking in the street and saw a white-haired grandfather writing on the ground with a small mop and a small bucket. His handwriting is like flowing water, and I applaud while reading it. I feel that my handwriting is so good that I have a strong desire to practice it. When I got home, I told my mother this idea. My mother was very supportive and soon took me to a calligraphy class.
When I first started practicing calligraphy, I felt my hands shaking, but my writing brush just didn't work. My handwriting was crooked like a tadpole. A few days later, my mood plummeted. Just when I wanted to give up, my mother told me the story of the white-haired grandfather practicing calligraphy. I think: apart from his heartfelt love, the most important thing for him to write such a good word is that he can overcome the difficult environment and practice it persistently every day. So, I cheered up again and concentrated on practicing calligraphy. As time goes on, my calligraphy becomes better and better. I am slowly praised by my tutor, and sometimes I am regarded as an example for other students to learn. I thought, when can I practice my handwriting in public, so that my handwriting can be appreciated by many people like that old man.
Finally, a chance to show your talents came. On the eve of the Spring Festival this year, the instructor only took me to participate in the activities of sending Spring Festival couplets to the countryside by the county calligraphy association when I was a child. I was really happy and honored at that time. This day coincides with the day of the rural market. The villagers are busy collecting new year's goods at the farmers' market. Of course, every family should buy several pairs of Spring Festival couplets symbolizing auspiciousness and prosperity. As soon as we arrived at the market, we set up a temporary table in the bustling crowd and splashed ink on the spot to write Spring Festival couplets. I poured the ink, ground it carefully, dipped it with a brush and wrote slowly. Soon, I forgot the busy scenes around me and absorbed in them, writing one by one, as if I had entered an unmanned world. In a short time, a pair of Spring Festival couplets was written, and some villagers flocked to pick it up and enjoy it. At that time, several people asked for my work and put it away to take home. I feel very happy, because I can show my calligraphy skills in front of many people like that grandfather, which brings them happiness and gives me the motivation to continue practicing.
Now 10 years old, I have deeper feelings for calligraphy. When you are sad, sitting down and practicing calligraphy is the best spiritual comfort; When you are excited, sitting down and practicing calligraphy will calm your mood; When I am angry, I sit down and practice calligraphy, gradually calm down and be reasonable; When I am happy, I sit down and practice calligraphy, which brings me endless thinking.
Write Spring and Autumn with a pen, I love calligraphy!
