Who is Miss Chaoyun?

The more famous Chaoyun in history was Su Dongpo’s concubine.

Chaoyun (1062-1095), courtesy name Zixia, was a native of Qiantang in the Northern Song Dynasty and the concubine of the writer Su Shi. She was quoted in "Introduction to Chaoyun Poems" and "Poems in Mourning for Chaoyun" in "Dongpo's Autobiography" She is mentioned in "Introduction". Wang Chaoyun was originally illiterate, but later learned to write and learned Buddhism from Sishang Bhikshuni Yichong.

In the third year of Shaosheng's reign, Wang Chaoyun died of illness in Huizhou and was buried in the pine forest of Qichan Temple in the southeast of the Great Holy Pagoda. Today, there is the Tomb of Chaoyun Dynasty under the Dongpo Memorial Hall of West Lake in Huizhou. The tombstone was written by Yi Bingshou, the famous official calligrapher and prefect of Huizhou during the Qing Dynasty. There is a Liuru Pavilion in front of the tomb, which was donated and built by the monks of Qichan Temple. The name comes from the fact that Wang Chaoyun recited "all conditioned dharma, like bubbles in dreams, like dew and like lightning" in the Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra before his death.
