Rong Nian once went back to the traditional opera laboratory after pulling the pulley and weeping in the barren hills, and produced the difficult action "Running at Night" of Kunqu martial arts students, ending the trilogy of experimental China tradition. Running at Night is one of the only two plays left in Li Kaixian's masterpiece Legend of the Sword in the middle of Ming Dynasty. It tells the story that Lin Chong, the head coach of 800,000 imperial troops in Song Dynasty, was framed and stabbed to death, impeached and raped in Cangzhou, forced to die and forced to go to Liangshan. While the moon is dark and the stars are thin, Lin Chong hurried on alone, thinking that he had a difficult home to cast, a national disaster to report, and he had to become an outlaw and be trapped in the rivers and lakes. "My husband doesn't cry because he hasn't been to a sad place." Several times and reading aloud are endless desolation and loneliness.
Lin Chong, a dramatic figure, bears a heavy historical and cultural accumulation and has extremely rich symbolic significance. 1943, "Running at Night" was adapted into "Driving to Liangshan" in Yan 'an, which combined with the spirit of revolutionary China and became a model of old drama innovation. 2/kloc-today in the 20th century, Rong Nian adapted The Night Run again, bringing a historical figure into the contemporary era. He not only lamented some lingering loneliness and melancholy in his life, but also reflected on the 600-year-old tradition and innovation of the theater, showing how the performing arts can continue to exert their resilience in the changes of the times.
