Li Kuchan 1
Formerly known as Yingjie, Ziying, a native of Gaotang, Shandong Province, is a modern painter, art educator and master of modern freehand flower-and-bird painting in China.
Born in poverty, he was influenced by the traditional culture of his hometown and embarked on an artistic journey. 1923 Worship Qi Baishi as a teacher. He used to be a professor of Hangzhou Art College, a professor of Central Academy of Fine Arts, a director of China Artists Association and an academician of China Painting Academy.
He is good at painting flowers, birds and eagles, and often makes huge screens in his later years. His representative works include: Hesheng, Eagle Map, Song Yingtu, Zhu Lan, Sunny Snow Map and Waterbirds Map. 1978 published Li Kuchan's paintings. Li Kuchan passed away on June 6th.
2. Li Keran
Li Keran, formerly known as Li Yongshun, was born in Xuzhou, Jiangsu. He is an outstanding painter and poet in modern China, and a disciple of the painter Qi Baishi.
Li Keran loved painting since childhood, and learned to paint landscapes at the age of 13. 43 years old, professor of Central Academy of Fine Arts. At the age of 49, he traveled long distances to Wan Li to sketch. At the age of 72, he was the vice chairman of China Artists Association and the president of Chinese Painting Research Institute. Pencils are often old and spicy in old age. He is good at painting landscapes and people, especially cows.
His representative works include Beautiful Scenery of Lijiang River, Red Mountains, Jinggangshan and so on. Representative paintings include Li Keran's Ink Sketch, Li Keran's China's Painting, Li Keran's Painting Cattle, etc.
3. Wang Xuetao
Wang Xuetao, a native of Cheng 'an, Hebei Province, was originally named Ting Jun and Xiao Feng. Chi Yuan, a famous modern small freehand brushwork flower and bird painter in China. He has served as president of Beijing Painting Academy, director of China Artists Association, vice chairman of Beijing Branch of Artists Association, representative of the 7th Beijing Municipal People's Congress, member of the Standing Committee of the 5th CPPCC in Beijing, member of the Central Liaison Committee of China Agricultural Workers' Democratic Party, and member of Beijing Municipal Committee.
He is the author of flower and bird paintings in Wang Xuetao, Wang Xuetao, Wang Xuetao and Wang Xuetao.
4. Wang Shushi?
Wang Shushi, painter, art education activist, geographer, disciple of Qi Baishi, master of art, vice president of Qi Baishi Art Research Association, director of Wang Xizhi Research Association, member of Yangzhou Painting School Research Association in Qing Dynasty, member of China Couplet Society and member of Patriotic Calligraphy and Painting Writers Association. He graduated from Japan Art Institute in 1940s and studied under Qi Baishi, a master of Chinese painting, in 1950s.
5. Chen Dayu
Famous freehand brushwork flower-and-bird painting master, calligrapher and seal engraver. He is good at freehand brushwork of flowers and birds, especially at painting cocks, landscapes and figures. His works are magnificent and vigorous. His greatest contribution to freehand brushwork of flowers and birds is to change the gentle and elegant temperament of traditional freehand brushwork of literati painting and replace it with bold personality style and heroic characteristics of the times.
On the basis of Wu and Qi's painting style, he strengthened the expressive force of pen and ink, and was especially good at using thick ink and heavy color to form a strong effect of ink color collision and fusion, which was full of visual tension. In his later years, his pen and ink language became more vigorous and powerful, reaching a very free and pure realm.
