What does hidden ink mean in calligraphy?

Hidden ink refers to a way to dilute a stroke according to the needs of the overall structure in the writing process. Specifically, I feel that the ink is exhausted, but I can still see its size and strength, which can adjust the aesthetic feeling of the whole structure well without losing a stroke writing method.
