Is Yuquan Park (Black Dragon Pool) fun?

Yuquan Park (Black Dragon Pool) is a famous tourist attraction of Lijiang cultural landscape.

Yuquan Park is located at the foot of Xiangshan Mountain in northern Old Town of Lijiang. It was built in the 2nd year of Qianlong (1737), rebuilt in the 60th year of Qianlong and 18th year of Guangxu. The old name was Yuquan Longwang Temple, which was named "Dragon God" by Jiaqing and Guangxu emperors in Qing Dynasty, and later renamed as Black Dragon Pool. Also known as Yuquan Park. Spring water gushed from the rocks at the foot of the mountain and gathered into a deep pool of about 40 thousand square meters. Water is as blue as jade, so it is called Yuquan. Surrounded by green mountains and green waters, there are many flowers. Beautiful ancient buildings surrounded by mountains and rivers are dotted among them. Its brilliance often attracts people to stop and linger. The water in the pool is crystal clear, and the majestic Yulong Snow Mountain in the distance is reflected in it, which is beautiful.

Entering Yuquan Park, I saw a golden lacquer archway with four stone lions at the entrance, which was beautiful and magnificent. They used to guard the MuTusi yamen, and moved here to guard Yuquan in 1966. Entering the door to the right, I saw weeping willows falling, a pool of blue, the sky and clouds at the bottom of the tree, and the balcony at the top of the tree looming. You swim along the beach to Suocui Bridge, and there is a couplet on the bridge: "Waves shake trees, snow flies, rainbows fall without rain." It vividly depicts the scenery by the bridge. There is a three-hole waterfall under the bridge on the right, splashing like thunder, flowing to the ancient city, beside the Yushui River, with willows and willows, and shaded by the sun. Looking to the left of the bridge, a five-hole stone arch bridge, like a rainbow, lies across the waves, splitting the pool in two. The exquisite and beautiful Wenyi Pavilion and Deyue Building stand in the center of the inner and outer pools, facing the water on all sides and connected with the shore by a bridge. This building was built in the second year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty (1876), and it was named after the three Chinese characters of "the moon is near the water tower, and flowers and trees are blooming in the sun early". When 1963 was rebuilt, Guo Moruo inscribed the plaque of "Deyuelou" and two couplets.

One is Mao Zedong's poems:

The spring breeze is bright and the scenery is unique;

Feiyu dragon three has millions of beautiful mountains and rivers.

The other is Lao Guo's couplet:

Longtan reflects thirteen peaks, hidden dragons in the sky and dragons on the ground;

Jade water is half a mile long, black jade is the body, and jade is the god.

The All-China Federation has only three crosses, but it has written the charm of Yuquan Park. The vigorous and free calligraphy adds a lot of color to the park. In the distance, the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain fell into the pool, showing the wonder of "the snow mountain is 48,000 feet high, and the corner of the silver screen is deeply inserted into the water". Half of Xiangshan Mountain is also reflected in the water, so that there is water in Heilongtan Mountain and mountains in the water. The mountains and rivers set each other off and the scenery is extremely beautiful.

Wufenglou (also known as Ge Fayun) on the north bank of Yuquan, built in the 29th year of Wanli of Ming Dynasty (160 1), is a 20-meter-high pavilion with three stacked octagonal cornices. From all angles, it has five flying horns, just like five flying phoenixes, hence the name "Wufenglou". This building combines the architectural features of Han, Tibetan and Naxi nationalities, and is a leader among Naxi ancient buildings, belonging to provincial key cultural relics protection units. In the spring of the twelfth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty, Xu Xiake traveled to Lijiang and lived in this building for eight days, editing and prefacing essays for Tusi Mu, leaving a much-told story in the history of Naxi literature.

Among the ancient chestnut trees on the east bank of Yuquan, there are historical stone tablets with high historical value. There are Dongba Cultural Institute and Dongba Cultural Museum in the park. This is the first county-level museum in Yunnan Province. This museum is one of the important windows for Old Town of Lijiang, a world cultural heritage, to open to the outside world, and it is also the best place for tourists to learn about Lijiang national culture.
