Shen Quanqi and Song Zhiwen
The two poets who finally completed the formalization of rhythmic poetry in the early Tang Dynasty were Shen Quanqi and Song Zhiwen. Since the early Tang Dynasty, the half-ancient and half-rhythm poetic style phenomenon that appeared in the process of poetry regularization has changed with the Four Masters. Their five-rhythm antithetical rhythm works have sharply decreased. At the same time, some modern poems still fail to harmonize the rhythm. There are many traces of the transitional stage. Subsequent articles by Four Friends, Shen Quanqi, Song Zhiwen, etc. further consolidate and advance the initial contributions and practical results of the Four Masters in separating and standardizing the chaotic state since the early Tang Dynasty in terms of poetic style.
Extended information:
During the prosperous Tang Dynasty, only the metrical form was established, but the content was not yet substantial, and the aesthetic function of the poetic style was far from being developed. After Du Fu "transported the ancients into the law", the realm became grander, the emotion became deeper, the changes were surprising, and the rhythm style became noble. In the late Tang Dynasty, the styles of Wen Tingyun and Li Shangyin began to change, and their styles became more pure. Rhymed poetry in the late Tang Dynasty was the most developed. From Yao He and Xu Hun to Sikong Tu and Han Xie, almost all famous poets were famous for Gonglv style, and some even only Gonglv style. In particular, Li Shangyin, Du Mu, Wen Tingyun and other Qilu masters not only modified the form of rhythmic poetry, but also transformed the temperament of rhythmic poetry, advancing the art of rhythmic poetry to a new stage.
