Read "Half Dust"

Text/Zhu Guili

This collection of poems "Half Dust" is the debut work of teacher Yan Diaancai.

The title of the book is very Zen-like. I think the word "half" is good. Life is like this, half lived, never truly complete. Happiness and helplessness each account for a certain percentage, success and failure are intertwined with each other; half young, half old; even speaking, as you grow older, you have to be half true and half false. No need to blame, this is the "earth" world. There are gains and losses on the balance. Teacher Yan Diancai realized this. He used his eyes that have seen all the vicissitudes of life but are not lonely to gain insight into the world and understand life. Poetry is like a block of thoughts accumulated in the heart, which cannot be expressed or expressed quickly, so "Half Dust" appears before our eyes. Let us open our third eye and see through "half life, half life enlightenment, half fireworks and half dust".

The characteristics of teacher Yan Diancai’s poems are wide opening and closing, elegant language, rich information, calm and interesting language. A poem is a story. He is only responsible for listing a few objects in a few words, leaving a lot of space for thinking, allowing readers to experience and comprehend for themselves, just like freehand Chinese painting, with only a few strokes, extremely simple, but poetic.

Hometown, Volume 1

Hometown is a haven for the soul and an inexhaustible source of creation. Starting from "Little Village", a strong local flavor comes to mind. The feelings for the hometown permeate into the objects such as the cattle, wells, trees, rivers, bridges, and even the earth temple that depend on each other for life. The living conditions of the hometown people and the emotional state of men and women are shown with calm brushstrokes. "Men love to argue. After the argument is over, they talk about women, and after they finish talking about women, they talk about old cows/The women put the only handful of black beans left at home in the cow trough/It's like giving a piece of meat to their men's bowls" ("Old Cow") In the detailed description of "Cow"), the simple feelings of the hometown people are left in the memory: "In the year when the joint production contract was contracted, the second uncle of the people did not ask for a plowshare or a rake / only the old cow that could not plow the land, silently led "Go Home" people's feelings towards Lao Niu are like undercurrents, calm on the surface, but actually complex and turbulent.

The old mill is an important distribution center for the small village. "The small village at this time is cheerful/the toothless old man smiles at the stone mill that is older than him/the blindfolded donkey grinding and the young man driving the donkey "The children are laughing/The wife holding the sieve and the basket are laughing/The naked children and the birds on the trees are laughing" ("Old Mill"), four lines of poems, describing the scene of men, women, old and young working together. It is vivid and vivid, the characters have close-ups, personalities, and flesh and blood. The poetry at this time is like a flowing painting, and the atmosphere of the picture is happy and simple. "The graveyard on the sunny slope behind the village can just see the old mill/The ancestors placed here are waiting for the day of grinding every day/The rotating weights are like their bent waists." The ending is similar to the previous joyful scene. Form a strong contrast. However, the poem is cool but not sad, and there is a calmness of being content with fate. This calmness forces readers to think deeply about where we come from and where we are going.

After combing through the contents of this collection, I found that everything about the hometown in the author's eyes can be included in poetry. This should be due to the poet's profound understanding of life and his ability to capture the poetic sparkle of ordinary things. Compared with the kind of works that pretend to be profound, write with obscure words, use mystery to heighten mystery, and make readers unable to understand it without Baidu, teacher Yan Diaancai's poems are more approachable and can be more deeply rooted in people's hearts. "Knowledge of worldly affairs is knowledge, and mastery of human feelings is writing." A couplet from the Dream of Red Mansions is also good to apply here.

The Second Series: A Foreign Country

Most of the content in this series focuses on Tibet. The collection "A Foreign Country" brings the eternal desolation of the plateau, rich regional characteristics, and the poet's thinking about the present into the reader's sight. It can be seen from the poem that he went to Tibet due to work. On the road of chanting, the poet expresses his unique feelings through the appearance of things in a foreign country. The theme is enlightenment, compassion, and confusion.

"The world is not just about what is in front of you, but there are also poems and places in the distance." Gao Xiaosong's familiar sentence was later evolved by the public into "Life is about more than what is in front of you, there are also poems that you can't read and places that you can't reach." distance". The public can get a glimpse of the evolution of this sentence and see the whole picture, and see the distance between the poem and the readers. No wonder the public wants to ridicule that nowadays, some poems just talk to themselves, as if they have autism and are far away from the outside world. From this perspective, no matter what the theme of Mr. Yan Diaancai’s poems is, he can find an appropriate breakthrough point and a suitable way of expression, so that ordinary readers can understand it and gain something from it. For example:

"Some birds like to stay in the shed, and shrink and become chickens/Some birds are good at riding the wind, and they sway and turn into cockroaches" ("Price") The perspective of the opening sentence of the poem, It is an inner feeling and a warning to others. It is estimated that the author must have had this point in his mind first, and then further searched for evidence to prove this point of view from his own experience and knowledge. He successfully used many images of the same species but with different personalities to illustrate his unique understanding. Compare the yaks in Tibet with the oxen in my hometown; compare the altitude of 5,000 meters with the plains; compare the pheasants with the chickens; and contrast the people who guard the village with the people who fly out. Use repeated comparisons to further confirm the opening point. Like a poetic argumentative essay, it lays out facts, makes sense, and distinguishes right from wrong. At the end, the ending is calmly stated: "Stand by till the end of time and hold on to a handful of soil/Fly till old and fly out of a mountain/Beef jerky/yak in the mall: 125 yuan/bag."

Scalper: 45 yuan/bag." After reading this poem, I can't help but marvel at how unique it is! You would never think of a simple comparison when looking at the title, and it contains profound philosophy. This poem warns people to go out and look further. Especially It has profound enlightening and educational significance for young people.

The third series of Supplements

Judging from the columns and contents of "Banchen", teacher Yan Diaancai is roughly divided according to regions. Each column contains themes: "Hometown, Foreign Country, Collected Relics". At first I was confused about the scope of the collection of poems, but after reading the content of the collection, I suddenly realized that it should be about the place where I was working and living. What does it matter when and where it was written? As long as poetry can be based on oneself and show the unique richness of the soul; it can touch the soul, generate excitement, and allow the soul to be cleansed, it is a good poem.

This collection contains many fishing-themed poems, and teacher Yan Diancai is the best. A master of fishing. He not only fishes, but also catches a lot of insights and philosophies. “Spanfish likes to eat sea crucian carp, barracuda, green scales, dinner sticks, and gobies/I like to fish/use sea crucian carp, barracuda, and blue scales. , dinner sticks, gobies/You eat sea cucumbers, abalone, beef and mutton, whole grains, and vegetables/Drink white wine, rice wine, beer, and wine/You say, stop fishing and accumulate virtue" (verse 1 of "Accumulation of Virtue") sentence It is extremely simple, but it shows the living conditions of "me" and "you" and allows readers to compare them. The result of the comparison makes "you said, stop fishing and accumulate virtue" become a great irony in life. This phenomenon often occurs in society. When encountering something, some people like to impose their own ideas on others, like to occupy the moral high ground, and use their own poor cognition to kidnap other people's behavior, such as giving up their seats on a bus. If you don't take the initiative to give up your seat to an older person, you will be criticized by some people for wielding a moral stick. In fact, this may not be the case. From the perspective of creative skills, the author is good at finding two unrelated things. The inner connection is presented in simple language, and the conclusion is thought-provoking.

In addition, the theme comes from family life: "I can only make potato pancakes/I started making them since you said you liked them when I was a child." Do it often. You never tire of eating, and I keep getting better and better/ I went home two days a week in high school and did it twice/ In college, I went back to my hometown once every semester and did it once/ I fried the years and grew older/ The more you ate the space, the longer it grew.” ( "Potato Pancakes") These murmurs are like sentences, and they are extremely simple, but it is clear that the iron-clad man who is approaching the dusk of his life is full of tenderness, and his doting heart beats to the rhythm of his daughter's footsteps, and his frightened posture makes people shed tears. It makes people understand what a real man dares to do: look down at thousands of people with cold eyebrows, bow his head and be willing to be a coward. "When one day, you marry in a foreign country/I don't know/my skills will be rusty." The conclusion suddenly makes the reader realize. I have been making potato pancakes for many years, and I am getting better and better just because my daughter likes it but I don’t like it. It allows readers to further experience the selfless love.

There are also insights from work and life in "Innateness"! ", "Advertisement", "The End", etc., often use common objects or images in life to express the contradictions and conflicts, entanglements and helplessness in reality in concise language, so that readers can chew on them repeatedly. The mood is full of ups and downs of poetry.

The perception of time in "Half Dust" is low-key and luxurious, recording the past and containing philosophy. There are many people who write poems, and there are also many people who publish books. I think that for some collections, it is just a trend. For example, some style masters who do not like to read must install luxurious bookcases in their homes. The exquisite tomes inside are silent, waiting for the wind to blow the dust. .

It is understood that Mr. Yan Diancai started his career in the past two or three years. People who do this kind of work need to devote all their energy to survive in a highly competitive society. The ever-changing shopping mall is like a battlefield, and the survival of enterprises is related to the survival of many people. Such a burden is heavy enough. Even if poetry once shined when you were young, the harsh life will sharpen your poetry in middle age. Beyond recognition. However, the publication of "Half Dust" is like a miracle! His subsequent creations have increasingly proved that his creative ability is a gurgling living spring.

"Halfway Fireworks". "There are many successes but also many frustrations. "The road to Xiongguan is really like iron, but now we are crossing it from the beginning."

Cheer up, let the fireworks in the world be complicated, let the passing years be bumpy, and newcomers who are no longer young on the literary road move forward with a heavy burden!
