The meaning of the Spring Festival Gala poem

In late spring in March, the flowers faded, but there were also new ones blooming, and little swallows flew to build nests under the eaves every day. The cuckoo is still wailing in the middle of the night. I believe the spring breeze will be moved and return to the earth. Spring Festival Gala is a seven-character poem written by Fan Chengda, a poet from the Song Dynasty. This lyrical poem is deep and graceful, embodying cynicism in the scene of late spring. When describing scenery, there is no elaborate carving, and only when the meaning is understood; when describing the mood, only a few signs are shown, and allusions are used skillfully to express affection euphemistically and implicitly.

This poem describes the scene in late spring in March. Although the flowers fall and bloom again, the swallows will come back after leaving, but the cuckoo, which is nostalgic for spring, is still crying in the middle of the night, not believing that the east wind can't call it back. The last two sentences use personification to describe the cuckoo bird, creating a persistent image to express one's nostalgia for spring. The lines are full of desolate beauty. Dongfeng refers to the spring breeze, Zigui, and the cuckoo bird often sings in late spring. The poet uses Zigui to weep blood in the middle of the night and does not believe that the east wind will not come back to express the meaning of trying his best to retain the good time. It not only expresses his cherished mood, but also shows his attitude of confidence and hard work. It gives people a sense of desolation.
