How to distinguish between Lüjue and Gujue?

It can be distinguished like this: quatrains are divided into two types: ancient and rhyme. Gujue belongs to the ancient style, with oblique tones and rhymes, without using the oblique rhymes of rhymed poetry, and does not pay attention to sticking pairs. It appeared in rhymed poetry (in the early Tang Dynasty, Shen Quan period, and the Song Dynasty). Before the time when it was finalized and matured in the prosperous Tang Dynasty, it was classified as ancient poetry. Lujue appeared after the rhythmic poetry, rhymes with flat tones, follows the rules of the rhythmic poetry, and pays attention to adhering to pairs. It is a modern style poem. Modern quatrains are referred to as quatrains, also called rhyme poems and small rhyme poems.

A quatrain, also known as a quatrain, a broken sentence, or a quatrain, is a short and concise poem composed of four sentences. It is a Han poetry genre that became popular in the Tang Dynasty and is a form of modern poetry. The word quatrain first appeared in the Qi and Liang dynasties of the Southern Dynasties.

Each school has different interpretations of it. Some people think that "half of the rhythm is cut off" so that it can be sung in music. Quatrains are composed of four sentences, divided into Lvjue and Gujue, among which Lvjue has strict metrical requirements. Common quatrains include five-character quatrains and seven-character quatrains, while six-character quatrains are relatively rare.

Detailed differences:

Lüjue

Lüjue is the same as rhythmic poetry. According to the characteristics of rhythmic sentences, it pays attention to level and strict rhyme.

There are four basic sentence patterns in rhythmic sentences. Five words: (A) Ping Ping Ping Ping Ping, (B) Ping Ping Ping Ping Ping, (C) Ping Ping Ping Ping Ping, (D) Ping Ping Ping Ping Ping. The seven-character sentence pattern just adds a rhythm unit in front of the five-character sentence pattern, which is: (A) 仄仄平平仄仄平, (B) 平任仄平仄, (C) 任仄平平任仄, (D) 平 Flat, flat, flat.

According to the types of Ping and Chee, the seven-character Pingqi style is equal to the five-character Chee style, and the seven-character Chee style is equal to the five-character Pingqi style. The five-character flat-rising pose is quite rare, and the seven-syllable flat-rising pose is slightly less common than the flat-rising pose.

Gujue

Gujue, that is, ancient quatrains, is a kind of quatrains in which harmony and rhythm are absolutely independent. Although it rhymes, it is relatively free in rhythm, or it can be said that some poets Created without being bound by rules. After the popularity of Lujue, Gujue was still used and developed. There are many five-character poems in ancient times, but very few seven-character poems. Anything that meets one of the following two conditions should be considered ancient jue:

⑴Use oblique rhyme (but this is controversial. Many scholars and poets believe that the standard for jue is the adhesion of antithetical verses. It has nothing to do with the level of rhyme).

⑵ If the rhythmic sentences are not used, sometimes they are not sticky or wrong. Of course, some ancient Jue have both situations.

However, the boundary between Gujue and Lvjue is not very clear, because after the rise of rhymed poetry, even writing about Gujue cannot be completely immune to the influence of rhyme poetry.
