Li He's Wild Goose Gate Taishouxing
Enemy soldiers rolled in like dark clouds in an attempt to tear down the city wall; Our army was ready, and the sun shone on the armor, glittering with gold.
In autumn, the loud bugle sounded; The soldier's blood became dark in the night.
The red flag rolled half, and the reinforcements rushed to Xiao; The night frost is heavy and the drums are gloomy.
Report to your golden platform and take Yulong to death.
-Li He's "Wild Goose Gate Taishouxing"
Li He (790-8 16) was born in Fuchang (now Yiyang, Henan). Li He's life experience is unfortunate. He lived a miserable life and was ill all his life. He died at the age of 27. Although Li He had a rough life, he always had a strong desire to make contributions. In my short life, I took poetry as my profession. In my poems, I not only satirized the dark politics and bad social phenomena, expressed my anger, but also wrote the ghosts of immortals. The theme is rich, the imagination is strange, the words are refined and the colors are magnificent, which embodies high aesthetic and artistic value.
Yan Men Tai Shou Xing is an old theme in Yuefu, which belongs to Xiang He Ge Se Diao Qu and is often used by later poets to write about defense. After the "An Shi Rebellion", the power of the Tang Dynasty was greatly weakened, and the war between the imperial court and the buffer region continued. Based on the war between the imperial court and the buffer region, the poem expresses the strong feelings of making contributions to the country by praising the spirit of soldiers who died for the country.
"Dark clouds press the city, and armor is scattered to the sun." This first describes the urgency of the war situation. The word "dark clouds crush the city, and if you want to get rid of it, you will be quick" vividly describes the cruelty of the rebels, while "if you want to get rid of it, you will be quick" indicates that the enemy is crushing the territory and Cheng Wei is trying to destroy it. Rhetorically, the poet used dark clouds to compare the trend of mutiny, vividly rendering the aggressive momentum of the enemy and the urgent situation that Cheng Wei wanted to break. "The light shines on the sun." "Guang Jia" means that a soldier's armor shines with golden scales in the sun. The word "open" vividly shows the soldiers' full emotions and the orderly battle formation. The words "openness" and "destruction" are relative, which embodies the dauntless spirit of the border guards in safeguarding national unity. These two sentences mean that the dark clouds are pressing the city, the city is about to collapse, and the sun shines on the soldiers' heads, shining like golden fish scales. The poet used vivid metaphors and exaggerated techniques to describe the military strength and momentum of both sides before the fierce battle.
"The autumn horn is ringing all over the sky, the swallow is fat, and the night is purple." These two sentences write a fierce battle scene. These two sentences closely follow the sentence of "Guang Jia", depicting the soldiers guarding the city fighting for their lives. "Autumn Color" points out the seasons, and the poet's description of this desperate struggle with the strong enemy is only hinted by the voice of autumn color. "The sound of horns is all over the sky" refers to the drums and horns that urge the war, and the sound is deafening. "Fortress" explains the battle scene. Yan Zhi means "rouge". This refers to the color of the blood shed by the border guards, suggesting that the border guards suffered heavy casualties. In other words, this rouge-like red blood condenses into purple in the thick night. The word "full" in the previous sentence expanded the scene of fierce fighting; The word "solidified" in the next sentence vividly depicts that the frontier soil is dripping blood and has solidified. These two sentences mean that in autumn, horns are ringing all over the sky during the day, and the soil on the battlefield is dyed purple at dusk. This means fierce fighting and heavy casualties.
"Half a red flag is in the water, and the frost is heavy and cold." Write the scene of the defenders attacking. "Half Red Flag" is about the death and injury of soldiers, and the army has rested, showing a depressed atmosphere after the defeat. Facing the Xiaohe River reminds people of a sentence that Yan Taizi Dan said when he bid farewell to Jing Ke in Xiaohe River: "The wind blows and the cold blows, and the strong soil will never return." The tragic atmosphere hinted at the end of the war and highlighted the determination to die for the country. "The frost is heavy and the drum is cold" means that the soldiers are fighting against the cold wind, which shows the arduousness of the battle. "I can't afford to hurt" is a tragic atmosphere in which drums are dull and soldiers are killed and injured. The word "pro" in the previous sentence depicts the powerful momentum and winning belief of the frontier. In the word "heavy" in the next sentence, the poet used synaesthesia rhetoric to describe the cold as if it had weight and a low atmosphere. The meaning of these two sentences is that the lascivious banner is half-rolled by Xiao, and the drums are low in the severe frost. Here, the drums of the poet's marching drums show that soldiers have no fighting spirit, and they have to die to serve their country and die in battle.
"Report you Huang Jintai, support Yulong to die for you" and write the determination of the soldiers to give their lives to serve their country. "Huang Jintai" allocated a large amount of funds to attract talents and land on the coast of yi river, that is, Yan Zhaowang. The poet used the allusions of Yan Zhaowang in the Warring States Period to build this platform, attracting talents from all over the world, which means being reused by the country. Yulong is a sword. These two sentences mean that in order to repay the king's kindness to meet him, I will die for him with a sword in my hand. These two sentences are the theme of the whole poem. As a descendant of the imperial clan in the Tang Dynasty, the poet hated the forces of the buffer region, despite his depressed life and unfulfilled ambition. Therefore, he hoped that the imperial court could select talents and employ people like Yan Zhaowang to pacify the four seas.
In art, it is mainly manifested in the following artistic techniques.
First of all, the novel conception enhances the artistic appeal of the work.
In this poem, "novel conception" pays attention to the process of war, and also pays the most attention to describing the atmosphere of war, exaggerating the bad atmosphere of war, thus making the theme of the work more distinct and prominent. For example, "Dark Clouds Overwhelming the City" and "Golden Scales Unfolding" write about the tense atmosphere in a critical situation, showing the emergency that is about to break and the brave and tenacious determination of the soldiers. "The Sound of Trumpets All over the Sky" and "The Night is Purple" wrote the fierce atmosphere of the battle. "Pro-Yi Shui" and "Silent" are about tragic atmosphere. This not only highlights the theme of the work, but also enhances the artistic appeal of the work.
Secondly, enrich the imagination and improve the aesthetic realm of poetry.
As we all know, rich imagination is the basis of poetic conception and conception, the bridge between poetic conception and conception and novelty, and the necessary condition for poets to describe images and create artistic conception. In this poem, the poet attaches great importance to imagination, so as to express the theme of the poem and create artistic conception. For example, the poet thought of the crisis situation in which dark clouds filled the sky and enveloped the whole border town from the rampant and fierce momentum of the rebellion in the buffer region. This not only highlights the theme of poetry, but also opens up the realm of poetry and enhances the artistic appeal.
Thirdly, beautiful colors make poetry have unique charm.
Poets are good at using colors and impressing people with colors. Color comes from nature, and it has no emotional factors. Marx said in "Evaluation of Political Economy": "Color is the most common form of general aesthetic feeling." In other words, when people feel the color, they will have some association, give the color a specific connotation and produce aesthetic feeling. In Wild Goose Gate, the poet skillfully interweaves gold, rouge, purple, red, black and white to form a colorful picture. The use of words such as "black" and "golden scale" makes the painted objects and scenery more beautiful and bright, and better shows the emergency situation that is about to break, and the brave and tenacious determination of the soldiers in comparison. Using "rouge" to describe the blood of frontier generals gives people a painful feeling. Therefore, the poet painted a vivid and full picture of war for us with wonderful and dazzling color contrast.
