The Life of Montanu Leaders

Montanu was born in Asia Minor. He used to be a priest of Zobolism, and later converted to Christianity and became a Christian. At that time, "Gnosticism" prevailed in the church in the second century, which was a heresy that emphasized and claimed to hide knowledge or revelation from heaven. Because of Gnosticism, rationalism quietly entered the church, and because of this excessive emphasis on the pursuit of knowledge, the concept that believers can obtain their first-hand religious experience directly from God was obliterated. Therefore, the church has become more and more undisciplined, and the church is increasingly in cahoots with the secular world outside. According to the spiritual status of individuals at that time, the church incorporated them into the established "teaching hierarchy". They believe that everyone's mental state is "fixed" and will not change. Therefore, church politics is obviously centralized, and believers in the church generally emphasize and pursue prophecies, speaking dialects, and offering medical services by the Holy Spirit. Their understanding is that having these behaviors means that this person's mental state is superior to others, and Montanu is trying to criticize these wrong ideas, so he stepped forward!

Montano's reform lies in his efforts to restore the spiritual condition and moral standards of the church to the level of the early church. He claimed that he was the "vessel of new revelation" chosen by the Holy Spirit, and that the promise of Christ had been fulfilled and the time of the comforter had come. There are two female believers, Priscilla and Maxi Milla. They first sought Montanu's approval, and then divorced their husbands to follow Montanu and became two prophecies. They predict that the end of the world is coming, so all Christians should be prepared. Facing the increasingly secular church, believers should also be completely isolated from the world and practice absolute abstinence to show their determination to commit themselves to the Lord and pay the price for him.

In addition, in the face of persecution at that time, Montanu insisted that believers must personally obtain special spiritual abilities from God, which can only be faced and solved when the Holy Spirit comes to individuals and does something special. Because of Montano's declared attitude, some followers at that time attached great importance to the work of the Holy Spirit and asked believers to have the same practical attitude in their lives.

Tertullianus-Christian theologian, the first Latin godfather. He studied law in Carthage and Rome and later became a lawyer. Proficient in Greek and Latin, he converted to Christianity in A.D. 193. 197, he wrote "Apology" to defend the persecuted Christians at that time, explaining that Christians have the responsibility to be loyal to the monarch, obey the law and treat others with love. He was the first ancient scholar to demand freedom of religious belief. Call on the Roman imperial authorities to give Christianity the same legal status as other religions. Many Latin terms began to be used by him and later adopted by theologians. In about 207, the montana Sect, which turned to heresy because of dissatisfaction with lax church discipline, spread that the end of the world was coming.
