Du Xunhe (about 846-904) was born in Jiuhua Mountain. Han nationality was born in Shidai, Chizhou (now shitai county, Anhui). He was born in poverty and a scholar in middle age. He has not been appointed as an official, but he has returned to his hometown to live in seclusion.
He once praised Zhu Wen with poems, and was later praised by Zhu Wen, and was awarded a bachelor's degree in Hanlin, knowing patents, so he entered the History of the Old Five Dynasties in Liang Shu (Volume 24 of the History of the Old Five Dynasties and Biography of Liang Shu 14).
Characteristics of works
Du Xunhe was a famous realistic poet in the late Tang Dynasty. He advocates that poetry should inherit the elegant tradition and oppose glitz. His poems are simple and natural, simple and clear, fresh and elegant. He is the author of Tang Feng Ji (volume 10), three of which are included in the whole Tang poetry.
