I always think that Wu Xinru has a similar literati complex, but the definition of literati will have another meaning when it is reflected in him. It can be said that he was born for writing and also for writing books. So, what he actually does is what writers and poets do.
In the late 1980s, when I was an avid poetry lover, Wu Xinru published many works in major poetry magazines under her real name "Wu Xinyu". As a backbone member of Xinxiang local poetry school at that time, his poems left the clearest impression on me. He is one of the few poets who continue the classical style when writing new poems. This makes the countryside in his works have a special feeling and charm. After the death of Di Jiang, the leader of Xinxiang local poetry school, this once brilliant poetry school actually no longer exists. Later, the reorganized "Troika" tried to raise this flag again, but it was unsustainable. If he didn't participate in it again, it shows that he has a very clear understanding of the decline of Xinxiang local poetry school. Judging from his poetry creation in this period, he consciously distanced himself from Xinxiang local poetry school, and his creation actually showed a diversified trend, and both the choice of theme and the expression of language reached a new height.
As early as the beginning of the new century, Ru assumed the responsibility of editor-in-chief of College Times magazine. His poetic feelings have stirred up in this publication for a long time. It is his pursuit to run an educational and courageous humanistic reader for college students, which is based on his disappointment with the current education situation in China and his poetic ideal. He wants to do something for the humanistic quality education of college students with his own practical actions. In addition to many thoughtful columns, he also specially opened "Our Flag-Post-80s College Students' Poetry Exhibition" for poetry lovers on campus, and trained a large number of campus poets, who have now become the backbone of China's poetry circle. However, contrary to expectations, his ideas for "College Times" failed to compete with the market in the end. Although the subscription of nearly 40,000 copies was a good record at that time, it was far from the organizer's expectation and he had to choose to give up. Facing the cruel reality, Wu Xin's Confucian scholars saw clearly the essence of society and their own future and direction. Later, he made a special trip to Yunnan for many times to interview Luo Chongmin, an educational reformer, and wrote a long reportage "He is changing education-the confrontation between Luo Chongmin and China", which, in my opinion, still continues his scholar spirit and responsibility. He wanted to use a saint in the education field to learn about China's current education, which of course also entrusted his personal educational ideal.
In 2005, for example, he participated in the "Poetry Society Forum" founded by his good friend Ouyang Bai and jointly advocated "good poetics". Later, she was elected as the editor-in-chief of the Poetry House. The proposal of "good poetics" has a strong pertinence to the current poetry circle. Faced with the misguided China poetry scene and all kinds of chaos related to poetry, many poets have chosen forbearance and silence, and poets know that it is not easy to change this situation. He and Ouyang Bai chose to use action instead of shouting. The annual selection of the poetry club is ten years. In the past ten years, with a pair of discerning eyes, they have carefully selected from thousands of contributions, abandoned factional disputes, ignored fame and fortune, and pursued their own "good poetics" with a large number of excellent poetry texts.
In addition to persistent poetry creation, such as the creation of novels, essays and essays. Especially in recent years, his novels and essays have frequently appeared in the headlines of major publications, and have been selected from time to time by Selected Novels, Beijing Literature Medium-length Monthly, Selected Prose, Overseas Digest and many annual selected books, and some of his works have won national awards. At this time, Orfila Ru is no longer the scholar I originally remembered. He is more like a pioneer who plunged into the desert of literature. He sharpened his knife and worked hard, using words as seeds to make them grow into imaginary flowers, trees and gardens. On this piece of Yuan Ye, he gained some excellent short stories such as Going to Wuhan, Dementia, China's Feet, Duck Talk and Dream Man. For example, the novella "China's Feet" has a unique perspective, a delicate narrative, and a calm pen and ink atmosphere. It has its own unique understanding of China's feet, which not only writes the great differences between Chinese and Western cultures and concepts, but also writes the fascinating mysterious charm contained in the oriental flavor, which reaches people's hearts and is full of poetry. In terms of prose creation, he has won excellent prose works such as Mother's River, Father's Tomb-Sweeping Day, Face of Time, Past Life of a Paper, Lucky Moon Rock, etc. Confucianism has never stopped writing poetry. Although the quantity is not as good as before in recent years, the quality and level are constantly improving. His comedies "Swan Arrived", "Father" and "I saw the essence of snow from a drop of rain" and his poems to masters such as Holdrin, Rilke, Simboska and Mandelstam are extremely rare short poems. In particular, the publication of his long poem "Yuanye", which is more than 3,000 lines long, quickly aroused widespread concern in the poetry circle, and many critics commented on it. This long poem is not only a person's spiritual history, but also contains a poet's spiritual distance.
In this world, there are always people who see far away. In order to see further, they often try their best to climb high enough and cling to high branches or cliffs. However, looking ahead is not arrival after all, and the unknown distance makes many people only look at themselves. Wu Xinru is different. He chose to stand on the garden he built, which means that his views are consistent with the horizontal line from the beginning. This low-key view, let him see the distance at first, is not out of reach, just in the constant running. The distance he wants to reach is always not far away. Every time he arrives, there will be a new distance. His running figures are easily overwhelmed by many daily running figures, but his running is steady, firm, down-to-earth and has a clear direction, and he knows the distance he wants to reach. Therefore, every distance is real to him, and he can stand there to catch his breath and look back, and then continue to bow his head.
You can say that he went to the distance of poetry, you can also say that he went to the distance of novels, and you can also say that he went to the distance of literature on the road of prose. But in my opinion, he is a poet and always will be. His novels and essays are all aimed at making such a poet more angular, complete and full. Therefore, looking far away is not based on a certain strategy, but on a full understanding of yourself and the world. In his view, only under the generous background of Yuan can he truly realize his towards the distant figure. In my opinion, Wu Xin is a person who can look forward to it constantly. The longer you wait, the more energy he releases.
In fact, before Orfila wrote his long poem Yuan Ye, he was already building his own Yuan Ye, which was built by reading, experiencing, thinking, striving for the ideal of literary writing and not being shaken by the outside world. That's his own vilen. He has been like this, walking silently, even quietly. In this process, he constantly revised his walking route and constantly adjusted his mentality. Any variables related to life, good or bad, will only make him more determined. No one can tell exactly how much energy this handsome poet has, but his figure looks a little thin. It seems too early to draw a conclusion. From the initial eyes to the striding meteor, the distance that belongs to him has become more and more clear. Today, Wu Xinru has published more than ten kinds of novels, poems, essays, short stories and biographies, but he is still on the road of forgetting me.
With her growing fame, Orfila Ru has become more and more busy, busy editing, reading and writing, and sometimes she has to be invited to teach her writing experience and reading experience. So she often regrets that "time is fragmented", and sometimes she often needs him to pay more time and energy than before to realize her creation. But no matter how busy he is, he will take time to visit those respected literary predecessors, such as Zhu Jian, Zhong Shuhe, Zhou Shi and Dai Hai, and gain valuable experience from talking with them. He will also find opportunities to get together with a group of brothers who can talk and understand their lives and status. For those young underachievers, he is always responsive and tries his best to help and support them. In Huxiang poetry, he is the only one who insists on writing what he has seen and heard. He not only recorded his personal experience, but also consciously provided first-hand information for later Hunan poetry researchers based on his literary consciousness.
For me personally, Wu Xin is a brother who can talk to each other. He never hides his appreciation of a person's talent and never relies on his talent. His modesty and even humility, his tolerance, his kindness to others, and his uncompromising literati style on the issue of principle can touch people's hearts casually. It's really hard to be a man for Wen at this point.
I remember that if I wrote a short poem "Looking for Sand by Running Water", Hunan Poetry Society held a special performance entitled "He personally made a poetry salon". At that time, I thought that a poet who was determined to find sand in flowing water could not find sand without taking responsibility for culture and morality. He will only see the running water of time ruthlessly wash away everything. But he has been looking for it, even though he knows that this search may be futile, he will still look for it. He hardly wants to stay away from the noise of the crowd and walk alone on such a search road. I believe that there are not only his far field and distance, but also his fellow travelers.
