In the large-scale human geography documentary column "Hunan from the World", Xupu Simeng National Wetland Park was praised for its "clear water, red clouds and beautiful Simeng".
The word "Danxia" comes from Cao Pi's "Poetry on Furong Pond": "Danxia is sandwiched between the bright moon and the Chinese star emerging from the clouds." Later, some geologists described the Danxia landscape as "colorful as Woden and bright as bright clouds", and the geographical term "Danxia landform" came into being.
Simeng is a typical Danxia landform. The altitude of Danxia Mountain is not high, and it is continuously covered with layers of "green clothes". The peaks are in various shapes: Sleeping Beauty, Sisters Rock, Wangfu Cliff, Shuangru Peak …Each mountain seems to tell a wonderful story. The best thing is when the mist envelops the green mountains, the peaks and mountains follow the clouds and mist, transforming into various postures, sometimes distant and sometimes close, almost like a fairyland.
The Lishui River is like green jade liquid, flowing in a circuitous way among the mountains. On both sides of the river, there are whirling trees and green bamboos lining the banks. In the water, a feeling arises spontaneously, hoping for a heart-tugging encounter.
"The water is green and green, and the peaks are green and green." If you only focus on admiring it, you will forget the hundreds of millions of years of vicissitudes during the Jurassic period.
Rafting on the river, the boat is rippling in the blue waves, the wind is affectionate and the water is smiling. The five giant Buddhas sit in meditation and look at the mountains, water and all things. There is a stone mountain on the other side of Wufo Mountain. According to legend, Tieguai Li went to Taoyuan Cave and saw that the Qishui River was blocked by the stone mountain. He picked up the iron crutch and vowed to cut the stone mountain in half. Danxia Mountain, which evolved over hundreds of millions of years, could not be cracked open with an iron crutch. It just had a crack, so it was called Poyan Mountain. Entering Taoyuan Cave, it suddenly becomes clear that the land is flat and vast, with fertile fields, mulberry and bamboo. I suspect that Tao Yuanming wrote "The Peach Blossom Spring" after visiting here.
If you want to overlook the panoramic view of Simeng, you can go to Taiji Mountain in Xinzhuang Long Village. The natural landscape here is beautiful. There is a thousand-year-old ancient nunnery on the top of the mountain with an endless stream of worshipers. It is the creative base of the Xupu Photographers Association. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can have an unobstructed view of mountains, rivers, flowers, plants and trees, and a beautiful ecological picture stretches gracefully. Because of Taichi Mountain's unique features, Changsha Wenhai Film and Television Company and Hunan Satellite TV jointly produced "Splendid Taichi Mountain". Once the video was played, it became popular all over the Internet, attracting visitors from all over the world.
It is said that when Xu Xiake arrived at Feitian Mountain in Chenzhou, he praised "no inch of land is not beautiful and no mountain is not strange" and engraved "Every inch of land is beautiful". If he comes to Simeng and sees the mountains and rivers here, he will definitely feel even more happy.
Many people compare Simeng’s landscape to “Little Guilin” and “Little Lang Mountain”. I don’t think so. Simeng is Simeng, with its unique charm, and is the “poetry and distance” that you miss so much. ".
The beautiful scenery is steeped in poetry and painting. More than 2,000 years ago, the patriotic poet Qu Yuan was exiled here. He walked alone in the crown of glory, and the strange mountains and beautiful waters inspired him to write the popular poem. Poems: "She River", "Heavenly Questions", "Mountain Ghost", "Ode to Orange", etc. "After entering Xupu, I was wandering around, and I was confused and didn't know what I was doing." This was his feeling when he first entered Simeng. The light and shadow of Yingdu's sword reflected his two lines of clear tears, which eventually turned into a wave of Miluo River waves. In order to commemorate Qu Yuan, Simeng left historical sites such as Quzi Gorge, Sanlu Beach, and Lisao Bay. In 2007, after Huang Zhenyun, a professor at China University of Political Science and Law and secretary-general of the Chinese Qu Yuan Society, appreciated the elegance of Quzi Gorge, he felt a touch of poetry and happily wrote "The hometown of Qu Zi, the source of Chu Ci".
Influenced by Qu Yuan’s culture, Simeng has a large number of talents. The Silk Road Golden Bridge created by Shu Yong has become the top cultural symbol of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. Wang Zhenghua started from Simeng, arrived in Beijing, and went to Nepal and India. He worked hard all the way and became the top home furnishing e-commerce company in Southeast Asia.
Adjacent to Fengyu Bridge is the walking trail and botanical garden. It is understood that the plant resources here are quite rich and unique, with 145 families of seed plants. Experts from Central South University of Forestry and Technology discovered the "Evening Primrose" in Simeng National Wet Park. Professor Xu Yongfu, a botany expert at the school, said that this plant is native to North America and Europe. It is cultivated in Fujian, my country but also grows wild. It is the first time it has been discovered in Hunan.
The "Xiaoxiang No. 1 Village" bathhouse can accommodate hundreds of people bathing at a time. Rafting in Simeng Feilong Gorge will make your heart beat faster. The most unmissable thing is the poetic Kongjiawan Bamboo Rafting. There are also legends about Ludong Binzhu, Rhinoceros Drilling Cave, Meituo Mountain, Daobazhai, Shi'an Hall, Nuluo Mountain, Wangfu Cliff, Qu Yuan and the Mountain Ghost. The beautiful legends add to the infinite mystery. and fun.
Danxia has a special charm to the land of Simeng. From natural landscapes to cultural landscapes, Simeng has shown its characteristics in all aspects, so it has been rated as "Huxiang Style Cultural Tourism Town"; one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of New Xiaoxiang"; National Wetland Park; Hunan Province's boutique tourist route towns, and Coiyixi Village It was also named as the fifth batch of Chinese traditional villages.
Currently, Simeng is working hard to create a national 4A-level tourist attraction and Xuefengshan Cultural Tourism Rural Revitalization Demonstration Zone. On January 20, 2022, County Party Secretary Zheng Xiang presided over a work scheduling meeting for the creation of a national 4A-level tourist attraction in Simeng Scenic Area. At the meeting, Zheng Xiang emphasized that the creation must be successful this year.
Today, the construction of the Tongxihe-Simeng tourist highway, the Qiaojiang-Simeng secondary highway, and the county-Simeng Qishui waterway are in full swing. Turning "road" into "journey" is just around the corner.
