Good afternoon everyone!
I am Li xx’s uncle. On behalf of Li xx’s family, I would like to express my thoughts, thanks and best wishes.
When I walked onto the wedding stage, the biggest feeling I felt was that China is so big. Just the customs and culture of weddings are so different in China! In Gansu, the wedding is held at noon, but in Hubei, it is at night; in Gansu, the person who speaks on behalf of the woman’s family is the grandfather, but in our Hubei, the person who speaks on behalf of the man must be the uncle, because, in our place, the groom’s Uncle is more powerful than dad! (Laughter) I also saw this morning that Li xx had the word "bride" hanging on his chest. I asked: "Did you hang it by mistake?" Li xx told me: "This is a local custom in Gansu. , I will exchange it with the bride later.” Haha, although I don’t know what this custom means yet, I guess that this custom probably means that the groom and the bride will be “you and me” from now on. "You are among them," right? ——This custom is really good! (Audience laughs)
I have another feeling, that is, the world is really too small! Yesterday morning our group of relatives and friends were still in the ancient city of Jingzhou, Hubei Province, and this morning we arrived in XX, Gansu Province! Yesterday morning our family and friends group was still in the Jianghan Plain, and this morning we arrived at the Loess Plateau! Yesterday morning our family and friends group was still in Central China, and this morning we arrived in Longdong! What are we here for? We have traveled thousands of miles to come here just for a big event in our family. We are here to attend the wedding of Li xx and Guo xx!
Although it seems that the combination of Li xx and Guo xx is a bit accidental, in fact it is not. Everyone must know that in China, the earliest book is the "Book of Songs". The most beautiful poem written in the "Book of Songs" comes from Gansu. This is also the greatest poem in China - that is, the "Qin Dynasty" in the "Book of Songs" "Wind" poem "Jian Jia". Three thousand years ago, in xx, Gansu Province, a poet sang: "The jianjia is green and the white dew is like frost. The so-called beauty is on the side of the water. If you follow it back, the road is long and blocked. If you follow it back, you will be in the middle of the water." "Mr. Wang Guowei, he has an evaluation of this poem. He said that this poem is the most popular and profound among the 305 works in the Book of Songs. What does "the most popular and profound" mean? ?" What he said is the one that best expresses the poet's deep and euphemistic feelings. So this poem actually expresses a young man's pursuit of a young woman. The boy searches repeatedly, that is, he follows her back, and the road is long and blocked. He swims upstream and follows her, wandering in the middle of the water. Go looking for it, but why is this road so difficult and dangerous, so circuitous and difficult to walk? So when I look back, the girl's figure is not in front of me, not in front, but downstream. So I turn back and look for her downstream, which is to "swim back and follow her, wandering in the middle of the water." But no matter how many times he looked around, this figure was not around him. It seemed that he felt that she was there, in that direction. But when he walked over and got closer, he found that she was somewhere else... What is this poem about? It is written about our family’s Li XX! Three thousand years ago, the xx people of Gansu Province foresaw the hard pursuit of our Li xx! Li xx searched from the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River to the middle and upper reaches of the Malian River in xx, Gansu Province, before he found the love in his heart - Guo xx! (Everyone laughs and applauds!)
I would also like to say a few thanks. My first thank you is to all Li xx’s colleagues, friends and leaders. It is your constant care, love and cultivation for Li xx that enables Li xx to “only regard a foreign land as his hometown”! I asked Li xx, can you adapt to Gansu? He answered me: "Maybe the mountain roads in Gansu are difficult to walk, and the water in Gansu is not good to drink (the water in Gansu is salty), but the people in Gansu are very nice! The thanks I want to say are of course to the bride Guo xx Grandparents, mom and dad, because you are the source of happiness for Li xx and Guo xx! Thank you for raising such a good child. Thank you for trusting Li xx and entrusting your child Guo xx to Li xx in our family. Thank you. My gratitude for raising Guo xx!
Finally, I would like to say some blessings to Li xx and Guo xx. You must remember that there are no accidents in this world, and your union must be God’s painstaking effort. You must cherish the arrangement. Remember Zhang Ailing’s most famous saying: “When you meet the person you want to meet among millions of people, in the endless wilderness of time, there is no one step earlier. I was not a step late, I just happened to catch up. I had nothing else to say but asked softly: "Oh, are you here too?" '"Yes, Li xx, Guo xx, I hope you cherish your fate today, and I hope you will get along well in the future. You must not only have the ability to enjoy sweetness, but also the ability to endure ordinary life. Sometimes, We even need to have the ability to taste bitterness. Only in this way can life be long-lasting.
Li xx, Guo xx, we are here to wish you all the best because you have created a history today - in ancient times, there was the beauty of Qin and Jin, and now there is the combination of Gansu and Chu! We also sincerely believe that today the flowers are the best and the moon will be fuller tomorrow - tomorrow is the Mid-Autumn Festival, I wish you all the best!
Thank you everyone!
