Why do humans need to believe in the gospel: what is the gospel?

I have to admit that many questions and answers can be simplified or even have to be simplified for people who are purely spiritual and really in a simple world (such as children). But when our inner and outer world is no longer simple and pure, but full of complexity, if we are still satisfied with an overly simple question or answer, it will inevitably seem naive or even self-deception. What is the gospel? I have heard many Christians talk to each other and say, "The gospel is good news." There is a similar proverb "Prayer is talking to God". Unfortunately, I think these statements are "correct nonsense": although the content is extremely correct, it is also the information that the questioner has already mastered; In other words, the saying of "good news" did not deepen the understanding of "Gospel" in any way, nor did it reflect the characteristics of Christian belief. For example, the patient asked the doctor "what is the prescription", and the doctor replied "the prescription is all kinds of medicines to help you treat the disease". It is said that "good news" is the original meaning of the word "gospel" in the original Bible, but the use of this word in the Bible (or Christianity) has its specific meaning. Obviously, Christians should rely more on the context of the Bible text than the isolated original meaning to understand the important concepts in the Christian faith. As far as the gospel is concerned, its definition and interpretation are not open to the audience. In other words, Christianity has clear definitions of "what is good news" and "why is good news". It is not the focus of this section to discuss the definition of "gospel" in Christianity. It is only pointed out here that various religious beliefs usually provide a version of the Gospel, which includes the following elements: 1) a description of the real situation of human beings (past, present and future); 2) What are the ways and means to get out of this situation (redemption)? 3) How to master this way and embark on the road of redemption. For a "good news", these three elements are not indispensable. For example, if someone claims, "We were brilliant in the past, we are fine now and will be better tomorrow", then obviously there is no need for any form of redemption. But under normal circumstances, the description of human situation by religious belief is often a dilemma and crisis, which is the "disgusting place" of the gospel information promoted by the gospel, especially Christianity. □
