Zhu's educational thought

In teaching management, Zhu demanded that both inspiration and practice should be paid equal attention, and teachers should have lesson preparation records (that is, lesson plans), or make summaries, brief tables or references. There is also a teaching time record, which is completed every hour. The teacher fills in the main points of the professor, from which the school can understand the teaching situation and can also be used as a reference for future teaching; Schools set up bulletin boards (namely blackboard newspapers) in public places to display proverbs, charts, poems, achievements, etc. Students in the school library can read freely and have teachers on duty to answer questions. Students with poor foundation or absent classes can go to the "special classroom" where teachers make up lessons. In the school garden, there are academic garden, public garden, aesthetic garden, breeding garden and memorial tree garden, all of which are managed by students themselves, with only one teacher as the guide. The existence of "campus" in Hunan schools began in Nan Zhou Girls' School. The school also holds performance exhibitions every year to show students' paintings, embroidery and exercises.

The Journal of Education 19 13 12 once commented that the calligraphy of female students in Nan Zhou is "rare in boys' schools". In student management, Zhu vigorously advocated student autonomy. The school has a student self-government committee, and every class has a student self-government committee. Cadres of autonomous committees are elected by students and are responsible for academic, sports, entertainment, health and other activities. Each class has a prefect, the dormitory has a room director, and others, such as libraries, campuses and canteens, are managed by students themselves. All the above rules and regulations have been formed, such as the participation of cadres of autonomous associations in the general meeting of schools and the plans of commercial schools, and the contact with schools abroad on behalf of schools. From Nan Zhou's publications such as Nan Zhou Education (the earliest educational publication in Hunan), Nan Zhou Teaching and Nan Zhou Students, we can see that each section is nuanced and each paragraph is clear. For example, according to the school rules formulated by Zhu, students are not allowed to be absent from school or stay overnight for no reason, otherwise they will be expelled from school. In the exam, those who fail in Chinese, teaching and English or fail in one subject for two consecutive periods will be deducted points and will never be accommodating. Zhu put forward the policy of "teaching should be combined with social life to serve social transformation and construction", and all subjects are set up to meet the needs of society. Zhu believes that normal education is the foundation of national education, so he first offers normal courses and simple normal courses, and attaches primary schools and kindergartens. People think that if women want to stand on their own feet in society, they must also have the skills to make a living, and they also offer sewing, cooking, embroidery, flower picking and other subjects. Normal school students who graduated from five classes: 19 16 and * * *. They spread the seeds of education all over the land of Sanxiang, and successively established Changsha Kindergarten Primary School, Peide Girls' School and Xiangtan Self-satisfied Primary School, with Xiang Jingyu as the guest. In addition, during his study in Japan, Zhu was deeply humiliated by the "sick man of East Asia" and thought that to revitalize China, the people must have a strong body. He saw that although girls were studious, they were not strong, so he paid close attention to cultural study, strongly advocated sports, and invited coaches from other schools to train teams such as basketball, volleyball and tennis. The school held the school sports meeting in spring and autumn, and it has been held for seven times in 19 12. This time, the team visited 26 schools and more than 3,000 schools. Nan Zhou's basketball and volleyball teams and Jing Tian's teams often win the championship in provincial and municipal sports meetings, and have won the championship in Central China Games for three years in a row, and are known as the "King of Tai 'an Ball". In Nan Zhou, literary and artistic activities are also well developed. May Day celebrations and New Year's Day are held every year, and the festivals are colorful. Zhu often mobilizes students to perform in the society. Nan Zhou has many unique courses. For example, Zhu personally opened new courses such as pedagogy and psychology, and compiled handouts such as Pedagogy and Child Psychology.
