Because the statue of Mazu enshrined in Wu's Tianhou Palace was invited back from Mazu Tempel, Meizhou Bay, Putian during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. Moreover, according to the local historical records of Putian, this statue of Mazu, which was invited back to Zhangpu, was carved by local people in Song Xianping in the second year (999) to commemorate Mazu. It has a history of more than 1000 years, and is known as the "golden body of Mazu for thousands of years". It is the oldest statue of Mazu in the world.
Lin (1524 ~ 1600), the 11th grandson of Lin An, was a scholar in the thirty-eighth year of Ming Jiajing (1559), ranking first and third. After Lin Tanhua, he was successively awarded a variety of positions, such as editing, managing imperial academy affairs, toasting imperial academy, assistant minister of rites, assistant minister of rites and so on. Won the respect of Emperor Wanli, and specially presented the imperial book "Loyalty and Love" with the inscription "Nine Years of Wanli in Ming Dynasty" (158 1). Lin requested to abdicate and returned to Zhangpu County to settle down.
