Professor Mark has translated many books. 1980, he translated the Yi narrative poem "Saiboyao" into English, which was the first time he introduced the Yi culture to the west. From 65438 to 0985, he began to translate the English version of Miao epic. Based on the traditional question-and-answer structure of Miao ancient songs, the English version of Miao epic is translated in the form of long and short sentences. Each group of epics has a title to guide readers, and there is an introduction to Miao and Miao ancient songs written by Mark Bander in front of the book, with more than 20 thousand words. He also translated and published many minority literature works into English, such as Selected Daur Folk Stories, Records of Marriage Customs of Fifty-five Minorities in China, and Mei Ge. In addition, he also participated in the editing of Wenbei, an academic journal of English as a Foreign Language published in Guangxi, and introduced the research results of comparative literature in China. In July, 2004, Huang Xianfan's "A Preliminary Study on the Interpretation of Ancient Books-Selected Academic Papers of Huang Xianfan" was published, in which he wrote a long preface introducing the Zhuang nationality with sincere feelings.
