Chronicles 5: 2-7: 22; Psalm 12

Worship God in a temple.

When Solomon carried the ark into the most holy place, the construction of the temple was completed. So Solomon and all the congregation of Israel worshipped God in the temple. How do they worship God?

Praise god

The sacrifice of worshipping God is first of all self-purification, playing the harp and harp with respectful heart, and praising God with music and poetry: the Lord is good, and his mercy endures forever.

Declare the glory of god

Amid the praise of the temple, Solomon announced the glory of God to the congregation of Israel. He described God's will to build the temple, and God's promises and achievements to complete the construction of the temple. By proclaiming the glory of God, Solomon acknowledged that God was the supreme ruler.

Pray to God.

Solomon prayed to God in the temple. Solomon's prayer covers seven kinds of life situations that the congregation of Israel will face: crime, enemy attack, drought, famine, foreign invasion, war with the enemy, and people's sin against God. Prayer is the power and right that God gives us full of grace and blessings. No matter what situation we are in, we can seek and get God's help and strength through prayer.

Offer a gift to God

After praying, Solomon offered a very rich sacrifice before God, and the sacrifices he and all the people of Israel offered before God were all dedicated sacrifices. Does God value what we offer, expensive or gorgeous? What God values is that we give our hearts to God honestly.

Therefore, our worship in the temple is based on praise, announcement, prayer and dedication. In this way, the worship that touches God's heart can get God's response and listening. Thus saith the Lord GOD to Solomon, I have heard your prayer.

Psalm 12

I saw that the word of the Lord was pure, like silver refined in a clay furnace seven times. And what you say yourself is nothing. May we become the channel of God's words, full of purity and beauty from God! Thank god!

Scripture: The word of the LORD is pure, like silver refined in a clay furnace seven times. (Ps。 12:6)
