Tagore’s classic children’s poetry

Hello.

Tagore's classic children's poems:

1. "Golden Flower"

Suppose I became a golden flower, just for fun, growing on the high branches of the tree on the tree, swaying in the air with a smile, and dancing on the new leaves. Mom, will you know me?

If you call out: "My child, where are you?" I hide there secretly, but make no sound.

I want to open the petals quietly and watch you work.

When you take a shower, with wet hair spread on your shoulders, and walk through the shade of the golden flower tree to the small courtyard where you pray, you will smell the fragrance of the flowers, but you don’t know where the fragrance came from. Came from me.

When you sit in front of the window reading Ramayana after lunch, and the tree’s shadow falls on your hair and lap, I will cast my little shadow. On the page of your book, right where you are reading.

But would you guess that this is your child’s little shadow?

When you went to the cowshed with the lighted lamp in the evening, I should suddenly drop to the earth again and be your baby again, and beg you to tell me a story.

"Where have you been, you bad boy?"

"I won't tell you, Mom." That's what you and I had to say at that time.

2. "Paper Boats"

I put paper boats one by one in the fast-flowing stream every day.

I wrote my name and the name of the village where I lived on the paper boat in big black letters.

I hope people who live in other places will get this paper boat and know who I am.

I load my little boat with the shiuliflowers that grow in the garden, hoping that these flowers that bloom at dawn will be carried safely to the shore during the night.

I launched my paper boat into the water and looked up into the sky,

and saw the little clouds setting out their white sails bulging with the wind.

I wonder what playmate of mine in the sky has lowered these boats to race with my boats!

When night comes, I bury my face in my arms,

I dream of my ship floating slowly forward under the midnight stars.

The Sleeping Fairy sat in the boat with a basket full of dreams.

3. "The School of Flowers"

When thunderclouds roar in the sky and June showers fall,

The moist east wind passes through the wilderness , playing the flute in the bamboo forest.

So groups of flowers suddenly ran out from unknown places and danced carnivally on the green grass.

Mom, I really think those flowers go to school underground.

They closed the door to do their homework. If they wanted to come out to play before school was over, their teacher would punish them by making them stand in a corner.

As soon as the rain comes, they take a holiday.

The branches touched each other in the forest, the green leaves rustled in the strong wind, the thunder clouds clapped their big hands, and the flower children

at that time wore purple, Yellow and white clothes rushed out.

Did you know, Mom, their home is in the sky, where the stars live.

Don’t you see how anxious they are to get there? Don't you know why they are in such a hurry?

I can naturally guess who they are raising their arms to: they also have their mothers, just like I have my own mother.

I hope it can help you, thank you and hope to adopt it.
