Overview of Bengbu Huaihe Railway Bridge
Bengbu Huaihe Railway Bridge started in February 1909 and was completed in June 19 1 1. It was the first and only railway bridge on the Huaihe River at that time, so it has the reputation of "the first bridge on the Huaihe River". It is precisely because of this bridge that the Jin-Pu Railway can run through the north and south of China. Bengbu, a once desolate and ancient Huaihe fishing village, has also become the political, cultural, commercial and military center of the Jianghuai area since the 1920s.
