Matters needing attention in Caj-cd specification

1999, the Press and Publication Administration issued a document, requesting that all periodicals entering the CD-ROM version can be consulted. This standard specifies the name, code, logo and format of the main items of retrieval evaluation data of China Academic Journal (CD-ROM Edition), and puts forward suggestions on the selection items and printing positions of various documents in printed journals. The biggest difficulty encountered by two journals sponsored by the history of natural science in citing CAJ-CD specification is the standardization of references. CAJ CD specification requires that all bibliographies must be complete, but it is difficult to record ancient books. In addition, some historians of science and technology often ignore the description of the responsible person (especially the second and third responsible persons) and the place of publication when quoting documents. In recent years, the editorial department has implemented the CAJ-CD standard in these two periodicals, and focused on the references in the manuscript of China Historical Materials of Science and Technology. The editorial department hopes that researchers can write according to the requirements of standard papers in the two issues of "Notes to Authors".
