Gu Mo's introduction
Ink is one of Four Treasures of the Study. Not only practical, but also a work of art integrating painting, calligraphy and sculpture. It has the dual value of collection and appreciation, and occupies an important position in the cultural history of China. Ink has a long history and a wide variety. According to the raw materials, it can be roughly divided into Song Yanmo ink, children's eye ink, lacquer ink and Youyan ink. In ancient times, all inks were made by hand, and the main processes were cigarette melting, blending, making, drying and tracing gold. At present, the earliest ink found in archaeology is as far away as the Neolithic Age, when ink was closely related to people's lives. Ink and wash is the dominant art of ancient painting and calligraphy in China. The prosperity of ink in past dynasties made ink a symbol of China.
